It is impolite to recline your seat on a bus, train or airplane, because it causes discomfort to the person behind you.

There's nothing wrong with reclining your seat on a bus, train or airplane, because everyone can do it and the discomfort it causes is minimal.

I honestly don't know. This is one of the great moral quandaries of our time.
