Should the NFL permanently ban Ray Rice?

What Ray Rice did was inexcusable - what his now wife did was inexcusable. We all make mistakes yes even the media and to sensationalize this any more than it is foolish. Look at his record for giving back to the community- I only hope he is given a second chance- ie Ray Lewis- Michael Vick etc. He and his wife have to live with this- he in my mind is remorseful but they can only answer that.
I am sorry but in today's world of equality - title IX - etc lets be fair and consistent . They were BOTH guilty of the altercation and believe both in anger management. So the NFL to show they care give him suspension and let him go back to being the community advocate that he was for the youth of New Rochelle . It is a 2 way street. Heard his wife have been punished enough. I know from what I speak as I had a relative clocked by a lady- I use the term lightly- she cut his head open and he punched her -He got punished she nothing- except she will have to answer to a higher authority- as we all will at some later date

The punishment does not fit the crime. There, is no question that Ray Rice behavior is inexcusable, however to ban him for lifetime from his profession is not fair or effective. If this starts a presidence how many medical doctors, lawyers, accountants and high level executives;not to menttion elected officials would be banned from their profession. The NFL sent out a loud message to all players that such behavior will not be tolerated, however forfeiting of ALL COMPENSATION and donated to agencies fighting domestic violence is more effective. Permit the offenders to function in thier profession, however without pay for a period of time and a % of all future compensation paid to support domestic violence support groupes. this serves several purposes;; first,it hits the pocket ,now you have the offenders attention, second it enables the NFL and the team to manage ray rices behavior and lastly it helps support agencies serve an ever increASING NEED FOR SUPPORT

All bets are off when you hit a women, no matter how much good he has done. Godel should suspend himself and if the prosecutor and circuit judge tried to cut him a deal to protect his superstar status, they should be punished as well The people who believed in his kid are the ones hurting the most.

If Ray admitted to the NFL Commissioner & the Ravens that he struck his now-wife in the elevator when they interviewed / question him......THEN THE NFL ARE WRONG TO SUSPEND HIM INDEFINETLY AND THE RAVENS ARE WRONG FOR TERMINATING HIS CONTRACT......If Ray lied to the NFL Commissioner & the Ravens by saying that he didn't strike his now-wife....THEN THE SUSPENSION & TERMINATION OF HIS CONTRACT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO........If Ray played a part in the elevator video being unavailable to the police, NFL, or the Ravens......THEN THE SUSPENSION & TERMINATING OF HIS CONTRACT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.......I AM A RAY RICE FAN BUT I AM TELLING IT LIKE IT IS!

Any guy laying a hand on a woman, especially a man of this size, should be cooling his heels in jail. He is not right in the head. The woman is also not right in the head! Why would anyone marry a guy that knocked her out and then dragged her out of an elevator. Obviously, he doesn't respect her. Even a dog would be treated better. Foolish!

Yes, but it has nothing to do with the video. The woman was beaten. The evidence was there in the bruises long before this video came out. The NFL, the Ravens, and a lot of media, including LoHud chose to ignore the evidence and blame the victim.

Or maybe Lohud.com has forgotten this "aw shucks, the guy isn't all that bad" coverage featuring quotes from an all-male group -> http://usatodayhss.com/2014/02/19/ray-rice-arrest-residents-ponder-effects/
