Sad to know that all these happened in the Philippine government at the era I assumed people were still innocent in doing evil. Yet good to know that there are articles like this to shed light on what really had happened in the past. Keep it up Filipiknow :) God bless

Aguinaldo changed our history by being a traitor to the republic and the people. And history is repeating itself with his progeny in Malacanang - Jun Abaya.

Aguinaldo was a Spanish, American and Japanese cocksucker for the sake of self preservation. How a guy like that be considered a hero is beyond me!

THIS IS FOR APOLINARIO MABINI... YOU ARE AGUINALDO'S NUMBER ONE COCKSUCKER WHEN HE WAS AT THE HEIGHT OF HIS POWER... WHY DIDN'T YOU POINT HIS MISTAKES AT SUCH A CRUCIAL TIME WHEN HE NEEDED TO LEARN FROM IT SO HE CAN ABLY LEAD HIS MEN AND THE THEN FLEDGLING PHIL. GOVERNMENT...? AS HIS NUMBER ONE ADVISER YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT... BUT NO! YOU CRITICIZED HIM WHEN IT WAS ALL OVER FOR HIM... YOU ARE A POMPOUS, SELF-RIGHTEOUS AND AN AMBITIOUS IDIOT! IF YOU WERE NOT PHYSICALLY INCAPACITATED YOU WOULD'VE ASPIRED FOR THE NUMBER ONE POSITION YOURSELF... YOU AND YOUR ILK ALONG WITH AGUINALDO AND HIS SO-CALLED WAR COUNCIL CAN GO TO HELL FOR ALL I CARE... AMBITIOUS POLITICIANS BEING TAGGED AS NATIONAL HEROES, PATHETIC!!!

Here’s what Apolinario Mabini wrote on Emilio Aguinaldo:

The Revolution failed because it was badly directed, because its leader won his post not with praiseworthy but with blameworthy acts, because instead of employing the most useful men of the nation he jealously discarded them. Believing that the advance of the people was no more than his own personal advance, he did not rate men according to their ability, character and patriotism but according to the degree of friendship or kinship binding him to them; and wanting to have favorites willing to sacrifice themselves for him, he showed himself lenient to their faults. Because he disdained the people, he could not but fall like an idol of wax melting in the heat of adversity. May we never forget such a terrible lesson learned at the cost of unspeakable sufferings!

The common friend who healed the rift between Manuel Quezon and Emilio Aguinaldo was Daniel Maramba, my great-grandfather.

Fanny Kelley - you said Bible should be changed too for there are omissions and exagerations like what the Philippine History has. Well, you could be an idiot, a muslim or atheist to say that. But let me tell this to your face, Bible is not the same as Philippine History book, Bible is the most number of copies, read and most sought book in the whole world get your fact straight with that. Bible is not just written by men but it is INSPIRED by God : 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. There are prophecies in the bible that happened thousand years later that was recorded and some are still to happen. Anyway, if you wish to redo the bible you should a very concrete basis, documented. Currently the correct count is 66 Books from Genesis to Revelation. The only group that added to it was the Roman Catholic but then it was removed when discovered. The rest is still the same.

with an overwhelming 78% on the polls, we should stop looking at him as a hero. for me he is a murderer and a cheat. no wonder our government is so blatant and full of corruption. kawawa lang ang ating bayan sa pag ri-rape ng mga tao sa puesto.

.... and so historians are not perfect or updated does this mean the Bible need to be change as well since there are so many recordings omitted or incidents exaggerated? I am sure even to this day there are all sorts of cover ups on how to get away with murder. Interesting there are a lot to read on important characters of the Phil just like the fames of Hollywood.

Sad really sad. Our politics is trully bad. What make it worst is that historians covered up and didn't revealed what really happened. And some quarters headed by the traitors' descendants keep on making Aguinaldo's foolly hidden.
    Perhaps

they are obsessed to have the traitor's monuments in every major cities in the Philippines
