Not everyone in New Orleans talks with a Cajun accent. It is a given stereotype that all people in Louisiana have a Cajun accent. The accent comes from the French creole. Most people in South Louisiana have an accent that is cajun. But not everyone. Most of the main charters are transplants.

This show is bad, bad, bad. Had to turn it off midway. I like Scott Bakula but he can't catch a break and get a decent series. The accents were terrible. The supporting cast stinks. I thought NCIS LA was bad geesh . . . This is worse.

I was really hoping that this show would be good. It has an interesting city to work with but this show is terrible. The accents were awful and grating. I haven't seen any of the other NCIS shows but I know I won't watch any more of this one.

Won't be watching this again. Waste of time. They could have done a better job in casting. Accents are real BAD...no one talks like that. They need to get acquainted with the area to know how people talk and culture. Also in Louisiana they don't say African American...they use the word black. That's just the way it is there. Key words were just being dropped like gumbo, beignets, and Andouille sausage to make it feel like New Orleans. NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles are great shows. This one is pretty awful...maybe a recasting would help.
