Granted, having a baby is painful but a toothache is worse.

This is stupid. There are many factors that play into the pain during childbirth.
You have to consider health, age, size (height and pelvis), complicarions, pain tolerance, natural vs epidural, the size of the baby, how many children they have had, type of birth (hospital, at home, standing, laying back, water, ect) , if they rip, up or down, if their cut, the dr.s technique, ect. So many factors. A 5'1 girl pushing out a 8 lb baby vs a 6 ft girl pushing out a 8 lb baby.
