Who SHOULD have won 'Project Runway' Season 13?

Sean legitimately won, in spite of all the fringe. Lovely garments, on well-styled superior models.

The real dark horse was Amanda. Building momentum, she certainly rose to the occasion. With her accessorized jewelry (Zack was right), I’d say Amanda came in a close second.

Kini has more skills than the entire group combined, and remarkable talent. He’s a dynamo. An architect. His modesty and curiosity propels his work to new levels. Unfortunately, his sober collection choices, full of impeccable detail, in a gray & black palette (Why not identical, but in white?), came off as somber. “Too old” was the judge’s warning. An odd phrase that often denotes safe or dowdy. His clothes aren’t safe. They are radical, unconventional, with perfect construction, and an unfailing eye.

Kini was the finest artist of the season, but failed to produce the best Fashion Week collection. It was his to lose. Sean swept in with beautiful pieces, perfectly balanced in colors, and ordered, producing the best show. The judges decided correctly.

My picks: I liked Char’s the best. Next was Kini. Then Sean. Last Amanda( who I really like as a person) I liked all the finalists. There were some beautiful white garments in this show.

I wanted Kini to win. His outfits were amazing and he reinstated a whole collection in a short time. I believe Shawn didn't deserve to win at all, and I used to LOVE fringe and now I hate it.

I enjoyed so many aspects of season 13. Sean, Kini, and Amanda are so talented. I wanted Sean or Kini to win. I hope all of them go forward and have successful careers. Char will find her niche. Too bad we won't be able to afford any of their clothes. :)

Amanda should have won!!!!! I honestly think she has the most potential in going far. Seriously?!? The Fringe Guy won?!?

Sorry folks but I thought Amanda got ripped off, although I am also cool with Sean winning. I'm not a fashion afficianado but what I have liked about PR is that most of the contestants come from humble roots and it is their art that has given them the break to move their careers forward. What I don't like now about PR is that it has become mixed up with being a reality show and throwing all that competitive crap in like that baby (I can't remember her name right now) who has been crying over losing to Charketa. And I lost all respect for Mondo and Ana in a previous PR (Los Angeles) in how they viciously attacked another contestant. Sure the business is fiercely competitive, one day you're in next day you're out, but why can't people be adults and have respect for others? I hated how Charketa has been dumped on every week. I hope that she opens up a boutique in Detroit and keeps producing great clothes for *real* women (to paraphrase Nina Garcia).

Kini should have won....hands down!! The most talented and the most deserving.
I was somewhat disappointed with the final decision but will continue to watch the
show as it is one of my favorites.

I am aghast that you would select a designer that makes garments that look like the throw on my bed. What on earth are you thinking? Do you really think we are going to buy this stuff? It is fun to look at but where the heck would the average woman wear these creations?

Kini should have won the contest. Under the pressure you put on him he still produced the most awesome clothing. It is chic and wearable by almost every age group (money stupid judges). His collection was so beautiful and dead on that I am shocked that you say he has no creativity. He is the most creative designer you have ever had on your show.

I think Charlitta or, whatever her name is, got what she deserved. You know full well that she lost her competition and was saved again by that idiot, Tim.

Now, to think that Kini came in 3rd place against Amanda's fat-butt looking dresses makes me want to throw up. You guys are not fashionistas. You are dumb.

The only thing I can make of all of this show now is that you are all queer and Shawn/Sean, or whatever, must be as queer or bi-sexual as you all are. It seems sex is all you think of. Kini created a perfect look for a lawyer, a doctor, or any other professional woman around the world and you tell him it is too old? Well babe, we "OLD" women have the money to spend for couture clothing. You just lost a customer. From now on, if anyone advertises in Marie Claire no longer has my business. And Heidi needs to grow up. She still seems to think she is a young chick and she is washed up in the fashion biz. For God's sake, put some clothing on her, old, body.

Oh, I have a question. How can this competition be fair? When the girl you threw out who, very obviously, beat Char and you gave Char another chance to win (although Sean made most of her dress, she didn't) you gave a reason for her leaving as the fact that she did two or three "Native" looks. Why is that wrong when it is okay for Sean to do every creation in fringe and Kini do everything in denim? You need to bring that girl back next season and stop being prejudiced because she is a young, pretty, and normal person (not gay or weird). Heidi were you jealous? Or, do you just enjoy the background you come from; following in Hitler's power hunger?

Stupid people. You make real designers look bad.

We liked Sean & Amanda's collections best, but every season since the beginning I get goose bumps when one person's collection walks the runway. That person is always the winner! Isn't that weird? Wonder what it means or why and how? My goose bumps have never failed me.

Kini clearly is a master and his work has been - at many times during th show - spectacular. But the final runway show is about a coherent message and a distinct point of view. Unfortunately he got a little lost in the weeds in his final runway show and went a little costumey and extreme, losing some of his playful and more elegant side. Sean simply knocked it out of the park: clear idea, very refined level of taste, innovative, lovely. They got it right, IMHO.

What is wrong with you people??? Sean's collection was a hot mess! Hospital garments with fringe.............Yuck!! Amanda's collection was classy and elegant. Keanie's was fun and young. Charkita's little teeshirt with the pencil skirt was amazing!! You chose boring clothing no self respecting woman would be caught dead in.

Are you kidding me?????? The Season 13 decision is almost as heartbreaking as when Mondo lost Season 8. Kini should have won this hands down! Sean's models looked like Flappers from the roaring 20's Amand'a clothing is drab and most of it looks like bathrobes. I cannot believe these judges. They have allowed so many great designers to walk away without the recognition they deserve. I have been watching this show since Season 1 but I am beginning to question why I watch when I have been extremely disappointed with the winners from the last 5 seasons. I would like to see a season where the viewers make the decision. Obviously the judges don't have the same taste level as the viewers/.

Kini was the most talented. He also was the most forgiving. Each time he should have won he didn't get a attitude. He just went and knock out another great outfit. Some couldn't be worn by just anyone but they still were the best. Only once did he come up on the bottom and I think the judges just didn't get it. Also one team challenge in which Sean won should clearly have been Kini (making that absolutely beautiful white blouse). Sean told credit which I think he shouldn't have. Project Runway is getting a little off...maybe they need to shake of the judges with some new blood. Having two winners of a challenge...pllease

  • Trace - 9 years ago

My god, seriously? He won with "The Fringe Collection" by Sean Kelly. That was so last month.

  • Connie - 9 years ago

I don't want to see another fringe outfit. The "wow" final piece looks like the one Heidi wore, but in orange. This win reminds me of Gretchen Jones won over Mondo Guerra, who is more talented and creative. I hope Kini wins fans favorite.

  • val - 9 years ago

Kini should have won, but as I predicted over six challenges ago Sean was being favored by the judges and fit the type they would want to promote as a winner. Disappointed but not surprised. The past few winners of this show have been easy to predict. I love this show but getting tired of the predicability of it. Looking forward to the All Star show, though I don't this past winners should participate. They have already claimed a prize to ellivate their career.
