    I was rooting for Nucky, he tried to help Tommy and his Dad. He looked way older than 10 years old...Just didn't make sense.

    The ending short-changed the series. You see this happen a lot in great television shows, it's as if the writers are wrestling with how to end it. But this was one of the least creative, most unimaginative endings. Tommy grows up and kills the man whom his VERY OWN FATHER betrayed? Really? He grows into a man so intellectually limited that he doesn't have the capability to understand that his father basically had it coming? And then, after reaching adulthood, he enters into Nucky's world, only find Nucky goes to great lengths to protect him from becoming a part of his world, in much the same way as he did towards James in the early days. So he kills him? This was an an ending that is incredible because it was NOT credible. Grade F.

    I had put off watching the last 3 episodes of BW Empire, for the simple fact that i didnt want it to end lol. Well today i watched them. And i have to say i am sooo disappointed in the ending, that i nearly cried. No Joke. For it to end just like that.... made me feel that cheated.

    I found the ending kind of ridiculous.Nucky Thompson was a bad guide who may have deserved this ending;
    But in reality James Darmody was an awful person who tried to kill Nucky and betrayed him and his mother Mol was a murderer delusional woman. and should have been killed several seasons ago. This concept that Nucky sold his soul for power and he is responsible for Gretchen behavior is nonsense. She was a totally worthless treacherous psychopath. Tommy Darmody should have shot her instead. That would have been more poetic justice (mother committing incest, conniving her son to murder the Commodore, poisoning him)--give me a break Nucky is a bad person but James Darmody and her mother were worse and they deserved to die. This is a ridiculous nonsensical ending that Nucky is the cause of all the people's demise and he deserves this. What a nonsensical ending for a series and actually a very convenient .Although I liked the Harrod character mainly because he showed some humanity toward other people, he was a murderer as well.Nucky is not responsible for his death; Harrod screwed up his job . Worthless ending to a series and simplistic at best.

    Thank you Terrence Winter for a fantastic 5 years! I have mixed feelings about Narcisse because I once met Jeffrey Wright at a spa in Queens, where his son was celebrating his birthday, and we spoke a little. He was so pleasant. lol. For a person who loves Atlantic City, Gangster stories, and Steve Buscemi, this was more than perfect. The plot was ingenious, and I can only hope that I can find another show that I enjoy as much. It was sad that Tommy killed Nucky, because Nucky tried to help his dad, James, but then again, Gillian was screwed up because of Nucky presenting her to the Commodore, a disgusting pedophile, and James was a product of that sick relationship.

    "Most of the leading characters in the series met fates based on reality. Nucky went to jail in real life and died of natural causes. Would have liked the ending based on facts like other leading characters Capone, Rothstein, Maranzanno, Luciano, Lansky, so on." The difference is that they were actual people. Nucky Thompson was not a real person; just based on a guy called Enoch L Johnson. They had considerably different back stories (e.g. Nucky's dad was an abusive drunk. Enoch's father was a sherriff). So that gave the creators free reign with him.

    Fitting ending but did not like. Most of the leading characters in the series met fates based on reality. Nucky went to jail in real life and died of natural causes. Would have liked the ending based on facts like other leading characters Capone, Rothstein, Maranzanno, Luciano, Lansky, so on.

    So proud to see Steve B get a full on lead role. He is so deserving and absolutely lived up to my expectations. Although Nicky sold himself to the Devil early on he had the redeaming qualities of a saint. I guess that is what seeing him die and not end up with Margaret made it sad for me.

    I was disappointed to see Nucky die but given the fact that he turned his grandmother out I understood it. My biggest pleasure though was watching Dr. Narcisse get his just do.

    I feel bad for Richard Harrow's wife, who took on Tommy. Seemed like she would be a good mother for him. Wait till she hears about what he did...

    I had a feeling the "unknown" kid Joe Harper would turn out to be Tommy, but I didn't think he'd actually kill Nuck; I thought he'd try , but -- true to Nucky's luck and cunning -- Nucky would be the one to turn the tables on Tommy and kill HIM ... just the way he did his dad.
