Children in our family go to the homes of relatives and people we know as well as to school & church activities. We prefer to celebrate Reformation Day, the anniversary of Martin Luther posting his 99 theses on the church door and the beginning of the Reformation. That said, when kids ring our doorbell, we give 'em candy.

We don't go door to door trick or treating. We go to events at churches, schools, the college, and other places. We feel much safer going to these kind of events.
