The term "invisible cyclist"...
1) Perpetuates privilege, is divisive, and should not be used
2) If used carefully can be effective at drawing the attention of planners, public officials and some bike advocates to the unrecognized and unmet needs of certain populations of bicyclists.
3) Is useful in uniting diverse populations of cyclists when referring to the ways in which infrastructure and laws make all cyclists, to a certain extent, "invisible" to motorists
Both 2) and 3)
