The space created could be put to good use as a " Long stay " car park so we can go to Vancouver as Foot passengers without having to ask friends and neighbours to take us to Fulford. There is just no room to leave a car- safely.

A more radical use would be to build a pier from the site ( new car park), out into the bay. Pier would have beautiful little cabin shops along it . Real tourist attraction and then current Fulford terminal could be demolished . A passenger tractor and trailer, as seen in many European tourist towns, could transport people from car park to the ferry.

If this was done with care it could be a real attraction . Cafes, market stalls, etc. Barcelona has done this really well. Fulford gets its life back and it solves the ferry traffic problem.
