Revels goal for the Mighty Millers as got to be by far the best goal at Wembley to date :-)))

  • Phil Gamble - 10 years ago

Wembley is the home of FOOTBALL not Boxing, NFL or Gigs. The winner has to be football related surely. Would love to vote for the Womens international, about time!, but it has to be Alex Revell. Wonder strike, to bring Rotherham level.

  • Nige_M - 10 years ago

Ambitious but brilliant, simply has to be Alex Revell

  • Emo - 10 years ago

It would be a travesty if Alex Revell's goal doesn't win this poll. Quite simply it was a breathtaking moment in an absorbing winner takes all sporting contest. If that had been a Premiership player the goal would have had more air time than Top Gear repeats on Dave. But Lower league footballers rarely get any recognition. I hope this changes that and Alex gets his moment in the sun.

  • Paul Jennings - 10 years ago

Alex Revell's strike was simply amazing, ambitious, showed foresight and confidence. I don't think he will ever hit a more important goal or more spectacular. UTM from your Canadian fan.

  • Jay Taylor - 10 years ago

    Revell - 100%

  • Martin Jackson - 10 years ago

It has to be Alex Revell’s wonder goal. The best goal the new Wembley has seen. A moment in time I will never forget.
    Up the Millers.

  • Carl Cartwright - 10 years ago

  • Paul Marshall - 10 years ago

Some great moments at the national stadium this year. However, Alex Revell's goal in a Wembley final was totally amazing. He gets my vote.

Froch's knockout of Groves was one of the greatest things I've ever seen live - it has to win!

  • Cuparmaniac - 10 years ago

    Alex Revell, AMAZING!

  • Jono - 10 years ago

Seeing Bobby Zamora score the winner against Derby was great! But the week after Froch knocking Groves out was even better!

  • georgina Jacques - 10 years ago

Froch it was one of the best nights of my life :) :) xx travelling down from Manchester, the whole comradery of the crowd, the moment Froch knocked Groves out was just utterly amazing :) :)

  • webber - 10 years ago

Froch by far, ONE more fight then enjoy what you have rightfully earned throughout your excellent career.

  • Daniel - 10 years ago

Not just the fact that Froch knocked out groves. But the whole event was a spectacle that put the eyes of the world on british boxing and showed that we can rival the Americans in hosting a monumentous boxing event

  • Angie Cantwell - 10 years ago

Alex deserves this moment as his goal was absolutely awesome and summed up the atmosphere for all the Miller fans, they wrote the Millers off being 2-0 down but the team showed their determination and are now where they belong. Thank you for a fantastic day, Alex's brilliant goal which I will remember for the rest of my life. THANK YOU UTM

  • danny - 10 years ago

    Obviously froch

  • Cas - 10 years ago

No contest. Has to be Alex Revell. Simply the best.

  • John Knapton - 10 years ago

Alex Revell's goal has to be the greatest ever moment at Wembley (new and old) both in terms of its brilliance and its importance.

  • John - 10 years ago

Watching groves get knocked out was priceless

  • chris - 10 years ago

As a football fan and Wembley being the home of football our national game. A goal as great as the one scored by rotherhams Alex revell (possible the best ever scored at the stadium) really deserves to win this. I watched this game and they were 2-0 down at half time so not only was it a great goal it helped create history in helping Rotherham to be the first ever team to win a play off final at wembley from 2-0 down. It deserves more recognition than any of the other entrants in my view. It really was a magic moment for football lovers (maybe not if you're from Leyton orient). And as we are a nation of football lovers then this gets my vote.

  • noiketrjbdj - 10 years ago

Froch for sure. Wasnt even there but the buzz was amazing. The best I've seen of london in a night 100%. And who the fuck is rev!!!

  • Gary Walker - 10 years ago

Not even a contest, easily the Froch v Groves rematch, awesome night, brilliant undercard, amazing atmosphere and a top quality knockout to finish it all

  • Frankie Lorriman - 10 years ago

100% seeing Froch knock Groves out.. AGAIN. Best atmosphere, great crowd, and a fantastic fight. #TeamFroch

  • Anks - 10 years ago

gotta be the froch knockout for me, all the hype, 80,000 people and BOOM good night Georgey Porgy, good nights work for the Cobra!

  • Matty Mason - 10 years ago

Got to be Carl Froch and the punch of the year! What an unreal night that was! :-)

  • Ren - 10 years ago

NFL?? Have a Minute!! Revelinho then Froch KO, a Yank game that a small % of the nation follow should never be the choice of the national stadium's greatest moment, get a grip!

  • Tricia North - 10 years ago

    Amazing goal! A winner definitely!

  • Moz Miller - 10 years ago

    Revelliniho!

  • Mick Dawes - 10 years ago

No contest, Alex Revell's goal wins hands down. Wembley will be graced by many great goals but for now Revell's tops the list and deservedly so.

  • Sam Robinson - 10 years ago

Alex Revell's strike was easily the best moment...GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • Macman - 10 years ago

I gather everyone in Rotherham has been told to vote. Detroit Lions comeback for me. I was sat right behing the endzone where the match winning kick happened.

'Alex Reveals' goal didn't do it for me, but then again I'm not on social media or live in Rotherham.

  • Don Featherstone - 10 years ago

Couldn't' have happened to a nicer guy, best goal seen at the new Wembley, in spite of all the stick he takes never gives less than 100 per cent every time he plays. Now will go down in Millers history, thanks Alex for my greatest memory after supporting RUFC for 50 years.

  • pete may - 10 years ago

Alex Revell's ambitious but brilliant goal. was right behind it and was up before it hit the net.

  • Dylan Frere - 10 years ago

    ALEX REVELL AMBITIOUS BUT BRILLIANT

  • Frostythemiller (senior - 10 years ago

The revmeister's moment of magic !!

  • Phil - 10 years ago

It has to be the Revmeisters unbelievable goal #RUFC

  • Alan - 10 years ago

At 1/2 time I was having a drink and on the PA system a lady said that in the history of the play off's no team had ever come back from being 2-0 down . I thought you do not know Steve Evans Rotherham United all season we had come from behind. When Revs hit that ball and from where I was sat I knew it was going in and was on my feet before it hit the net what a goal the best I have ever seen at my age that's a lot

  • Big Bob - 10 years ago

Alex Revell ...... Simple as !

  • Paul Wickson - 10 years ago

In the photographer's room after the game it was total agreement that Rev's goal was the best yet at the new Wembley and the best for many a long year at the old ground as well. Ambitious maybe - brilliant YES.

  • Andy Taylor - 10 years ago

Revell. The goal. The moment. The magic.

  • Simon Allott - 10 years ago

Revs was right in front of us when he moved inside and kicked the ball, the rest was history, what a season, what a legend, what a team.Up the Millers!!!.

  • Steve knowles - 10 years ago

Alex revels goal will not be be bettered for along time, league one as well.

  • martin hudson - 10 years ago

If a Premiership player had scored such a wonderful goal as Revell did they'd be repeating bit over and over on TV. Stunning so pleased I was there to witness it.

  • Brad foy - 10 years ago

has to be Detroit Lions comeback against the Falcons, was at the game incredible finish, great atmosphere and excitement till the very end

  • Alan - 10 years ago

Revell's goal. I thoughts at the time were "what a waste! Who is that to. It's going in. Brilliant"

  • matt - 10 years ago

No brainer! Revell goal was a once in a lifetime goal. All the other options could easily be repeated... it would take a miracle for someone to do what revs did. Most euphoric moment of my life when I realized that was dropping in to the net.

  • James Payling - 10 years ago

Ambitious......but brilliant! Simply the greatest goal ever scored at Wembley! A great moment for long suffering millers and no player deserved it more! UTM!

  • TFA - 10 years ago

When Alex Revell mishit that pass and it looped up and flew in the top corner!! He deserves a bit of luck that lad!

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!

  • James Symonds - 10 years ago

I was at Wembley when we beat Shrewsbury in 96, but this occasion was even better and Revells goal was amazing. Nearly had a heart attack and I was only 29!
Looking at the other moments there are some good ones but Revells goal has to be the best. That is with bias and un-biased hat on.

  • chris muffett - 10 years ago

Unbelievable goal by Alex Revell top drawer stuff just watching it again puts a smile

  • Brian Igoe - 10 years ago

All hail The Revmiester, as good a goal as Geoff Hurst,s 66 World Cup final goal.
Revellino now cemented a true Millers legend for giving us a glorious memory.

  • Brad Cartledge - 10 years ago

  • Neil - 10 years ago

Even from a neutral perspective it has to be revells goal. a moment of pure magic complemented by an iconic celebration from player and manager

  • Geoff Needham - 10 years ago

No contest, Revell's is the best goal in the history of Wembley Stadium, the other eleven moments are just there to make up the numbers.

  • Josh - 10 years ago

Has to be revell, absolutely amazing goal, probably the best that wembley has seen ever!

  • Josh - 10 years ago

Has to be revell, absolutely amazing goal, probably the best that wembley has seen ever!

  • tuddy - 10 years ago

Revells goal, I missed it as I went to toilet but heard a cheers and thought orient scored and then someone ran in toilet going mentel so I rad down stairs and the whole rotherham end was jumping one of best m8ments as a rotherham fan I have had since I started watching the in 2003 season

  • Iliyan Yankov - 10 years ago

    Zamoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • paul robinson - 10 years ago

alex revel wonder goal best ever goal at wembley new or old

  • Nez - 10 years ago

Alex Revell's goal is not only the best of 2014, but very possibly the best ever goal scored at Wembley Stadium, old and new included stadiums included!
It was a goal that you could only dream of, but Revell made the dream reality!
It's certainly the best goal that I've ever witnessed, that's for sure, and I've watched football for fifty years!

  • Exetermiler - 10 years ago

Sheer injustice if Rev's doesn't win this. For the occasion, the pressure, the lack of big games with big crowds & the technique to score such a goal. If Diego Costa scored that in a cup final they'd be banging on about it for the next 50 years - utterly brilliant.

  • andy browb - 10 years ago

Got to be revell goal quality goal

  • RotherhamS5 - 10 years ago

    Super Alex Revell!! UTM S5

  • Lewis Cheetham - 10 years ago

By far revells goal, to have such passion and fighting spirit. Half time 2-0 down, everyone thought the games was out of hand and for such a criticised player to come and score a tap in and a beauty is extraordinary. Love his work ethic, should win everyday of the week.

  • Darren - 10 years ago

    Best goal ever

  • Luke Hodgkinson - 10 years ago

What more can you say other than if any man was going to pull off a goal like this it had to be the player who was so heavily criticised all season for his lack of goals, then pulls off what can only be seen as a 1 in a million goal and to add to that the other 2 goals he scored during the playoffs that helped us gain promotion. Not a world class footballer but I'm yet to see someone who gives more to the club they for than Alex Revell. What a workhorse. What a player. What a goal. #UTM

  • Adam Burton - 10 years ago

Revell.. Ambitious.. But Brilliant, I do not believe it, I swear I do not believe it

  • Tom Hendley - 10 years ago

A great game for any 'neutral' fan watching. From my perspective we were dead and buried at half time then Revs decided to be ambitious but brilliant.Suprised Adam Collin didn't make the list #utm

  • Josh Parker - 10 years ago

Got to be Revs goal for the mighty Millers all day!!!!!

  • Daniel Scott - 10 years ago

2-0 down game over then the 2nd half Revs puts us back into the game with a tap in and then what followed was just pure quality what a strike by the Revs meister Wembley will never see a goal like it again, AMBITIOUS BUT BRILLIANT

  • Matt Heywood - 10 years ago
