We need photo radar on all streets and roads - if you break the law you should be willing to pay - also insurance rates will drop if drivers slow down meaning less accidents what is the big rush for anyway better to be late than not get there at all - or just start sooner - I don't really care about you but am concerned for others on roads one of them is me

It's my observation that at least 98% of drivers on our streets and highways are very good drivers.

Not surprising that Left Lane Hogs is the #1 irritant in this poll. One that they missed are TAIL-GATERS. I disagree with cruising in the left/fast lane, especially if you are going under, or just barely the speed limit. But what is also annoying and obnoxious, is when you pull out to pass, you are already going 10-20km/hour OVER the posted speed limit while passing, and that still isn't fast enough for the Goon behind you.

Here's one that drives me nuts. You have a green light at an intersection but can't go through because there's a line of cars stopped on the other side of the intersection. You do the right thing by not advancing and blocking the intersection. When the line finally moves forward and you have enough space, some jerk makes a right hand turn and quickly takes the spot.
This happened to me the other day. I was just starting to move into the spot and this jerk dashed into it, leaving me in the middle of the intersection. Traffic was then blocked and people were getting angry at ME!

This doesn't count as a "driving" offence, but cyclists who wear headphones should be fined. Unreal. I saw one woman wearing headphones which covered her ears, at rush hour, in downtown Ottawa, on a busy boulevard. Many times I've seen them wearing the kind that fit in your ear. It's like they think their safety is everyone else's responsability.

People that damage your vehicle and can't bother to at least say sorry! It is a criminal offence to hit and run come on people. One day you will get yours.

Another illegal and annoying habit happens daily in the hov lane heading southbound on the DVP. Some drivers will cross over the double lines in and out of the hov lane to gain an advantage. Some are blatantly driving alone and cannot resist temptation in rush hour. Too bad this is not policed and ticketed more often. If only cameras could be installed to catch these offenders in the act.
At night, it is amazing how many people don't realize they are driving without their lights or worse, with their high beams on. Trying to flash your lights or honking at them to alert them draws either a clueless look or an angry glare. Part of the problem may be lack of awareness because the dash lights up on never cars leading drivers into falsely thinking their lights are on.

Something I never see talked about is the horrible misuse of U-turns, I was always taught that it is a high risk manouver (which it is) there are many unenforced laws around it, and people perform these turns more often than they change their underwear even though they don't need to. It seems for most folks that the first and last thing they do getting behind the wheel is to get the vehicle going the opposite direction.

there are two more bad driving habits that need to be outlawed. The first is drivers who have their headlights mis aligned. There are those who have the drivers side pointed out and up shining in your face. The other is those drivers who are curteous enough to switch from high beam to low beam but then go back to high beam before they pass you. i encounter both of these bad habits frequently.
