Are you confident environmental issues at the proposed racetrack will be addressed adequately?

There has been essentially no oversight (or foresight for that matter) by Palmer. In the event of a fire, Whiskey Hill will go completly - no hydrants in the area and the well they have proposed wouldn't be sufficient for a house fire. Any hydrocarbon spills have the potential to contaminate water as far away as Quabbin - it's all down-slope. Run-off from 40-plus acres of pavement will drastically effect the surrounding wetlands as well as all access roads. Ware Rd is treacherous in the winter - any additional activity will excerbate the problem. The road condition year-round is difficult due to three towns involved in maintenance - heavy equipment and anticipated additional traffic, in the quantities they are proposing, will make maintenance next to impossible. Who is going to monitor and enforce noise regulations - this was a very quiet quiet area - the permits Palmer allowed for operating months and hours of operation will essentially prevent much of Ware, Warren and Palmer from being outside from mid-Spring until the snow flies. Finally, in the event of an accident on the PMP site - who will manage emergency services?
