I think it will still be Meryl Streep that will win this poll. She gave the most memorable performance out of all the other actresses ( however I think Charlize Theron is closely being second on my opinion. Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence even Cate Blanchet is not Oscar Worthy for me.

Charlize Theron turned in one of the top two or three performances in the history of cinema. I'm guessing that Monster just wasn't seen by enough people. Go check it out.

I think that the person leading this poll should be Charlize Theron in Monster for giving a transformative performance. Not many actresses including Meryl Streep have accomplish what she did in that film.

Obviously skewed towards films from recent years. As much as I respect Cate Blanchett, her role in Blue Jasmine was a cakewalk role for her and there wasn't much competition last year. I think Winslet and Swank are underrepresented here. They were fantastic in their respective movies, and Swank's performance was not only emotionally nuanced but also physically demanding.
