    I have a better idea:
If this new proposal will become a rule, the best is shifting educations from UK to other countries!
If students from 3rd world decline to study in UK, there will not be such a problem for our British Friends anymore! But there might be a minor problem: How British Universities can survive without 3rd world students?! (LOL)

Yes they should return home...Our university has a lot of International students which is great but jobs in this country are already scarce and we need every position available for our own citizens. They should go home and make their own country a more efficient and better place to live using the education they received here.

I am from Argentina and I got a studentship to do a PhD in Cambridge. I would like to work in the UK and I am worried that when I finish my thesis I will not be allowed to stay in the country. I think that having the possibility for studying and working in the UK has reciprocal benefits both for the foreigner and for the host country. Even though I am very thankful of having this great opportunity and experience, it would not be fair to be expelled after having contributed to research in the UK for almost 4 years.
