I think they should stop disecting cats at school, not because of PETA's views but because families have cats as pets and it could cause a lasting negative impact on the kids who have to do the dissecting. It's not necessary. There are plenty of animals to dissect that aren't seen as family pets. This is the first I've heard of this story, but I assume they're not killing the cats, but get them because they're old or sick and have been euthanized by a vet.
