I don't think its weird at all! My dad used to give my sister and I valentines cards. My mom still give us valentine cards and gifts. I give them to sisters, mom, nephew & niece. I don't think this "holiday" is just for LOVERS but for the important people in your life that you LOVE.
ps. the guys don't get because they don't have children. I'm they would change their mind if they had children.
Not weird at all my dad has always given my sister and I chocolates and a card and now gives my girls a chocolate heart. Mothers day he gives us flowers of course my moms gift are always bigger but I love that he has always done that. Its a daddy's and daughter's thing no man will ever get it till they have a daughter.
