Should Congress Vote Yes On The President's Request For War Powers?

Only Congress has the ability to declare war according to the Constitution. While the President may engage in certain warlike activities, war itself is in the purvue of the Legislature. Nonetheless, Presidents from both parties have skirted this issue, sometimes with Congressional approval, including the Iraq/Afghanistan "war" and others. Another example is the Korean "Conflict." It appears that neither party wants to be labeled as the "War Party."

Obama has all the War Powers authority he needs to go after ISIS (and other Islam jihadists) in any country for as long as it takes. He wants to limit ground troops and the time line to 3 years. Congress should not fall for this ruse.
