I have suffered for a few years now with various stomach issues, in and out of hospital at times in extreme pain. I am 23 and have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease and am now on immunosuppressants. As I am a student nurse I would love to know more about how my condition, and how my medication might effect my future, and whether diet can help resolve symptoms.

Hi
My dad was diagnosed with Crohns disease last year at the age of 66. Up until about 3 years ago he had never suffered with any stomach problems. I want people to know that it can happen to anyone at any age and what a debilitating disease it is to those that have it. I honestly can not believe the change in my dad and how much it has affected our family, thank you.

My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease last year and has quite severe symptoms. Although I had heard of the disease I had no idea of its severity and life changing nature. There are many more children and young people being diagnosed than ever before and the impact on their physical/emotional and educational development is profound. The more we talk about this vile disease the better!

I suffer from Bile Salt Malabsorption which is affects everyday life. Not many medical professionals know about it and it would be great to raise awareness and help people recognise it. Even if it can't be covered this time, please please please cover it in the future. Many thanks Cate

I don't have Crohns, but my tummy problems started after having a bowel re-section, which has now given me a combination of similar symptoms , such as bloating, diarrhea, flare ups, restricted diet painful cramps and constant pain due to abdominal adhesions.

If I had just thought my excessive bloating was due just to being coeliac I could have died with a neuroendocrine tumour in my bowel. Luckily I queried with gastroenterologist and it was found at grade 2 level. Now after op got all clear.
