Like the Triboro Bridge another Tax that will always increase. Will jam up traffic to Jackson Heights. Wake up the bike lanes alone for phantom bikes inconvenience thousands causing back ups worse than ever!

there is no way the city can justify putting a toll on the bridges. WTF are they thinking we are struggling as it is. Fixtrhe transit problems -- that's it.

These bridges were already paid for by city taxpayers. It would be unfair to introduce tolls on them as a matter of principle. Here once again we have a government agency looking for more money, one that is hardly managed efficiently. Personally I have little faith in this "poll" that was conducted. Too many pockets waiting to be lined, very tempting to skew the numbers. Just say no.

yes put tolls. more people will use mass transit. less traffic. everyone wants everything for free. it costs money to maintain things(ex, bridges, road, ect). people didnt like the no smoking in bars rule at first, now they love it. nobody wants to pay for anything. but theyll buy drugs, beer, buy $80000.00 cars but they dont want to pay a toll .eff yoooou

I've lived in nyc my whole life and the cost of living is expensive as it is. I do not see how tolls would help anyone except for the mta and the well fortunate.

So the minimum wage is going to be a WHOPPING TEN BUCKS so after working 40 plus hours you get to come home with about $350 if you're lucky (after taxes) which the government has already decided to force you to allocate about $50 (also-if you're lucky) towards health insurance(other countries have implemented a superior system with extremely low cost health care-by comparison and free continued education). So you might possibly have about $300 take home. Laundry, food, gas or Metro Card will deplete that sum by about $120 for a single person (be prepared to be judged for daring to want a family). So now we're at $180-Be Warned We live Amongst many feeble minded clowns who are opposed to low income housing....Uuum-the entire city would shut down without the 'low-income' workers....Back to 'simple' arithmetic; if you are insanely frugal and spend nothing at all aside from the aforementioned that would leave you with the ability to cover a rent of $810 a month but the utilities must be included or simply get used to using flash lights that were given to you because you can't afford to even walk into a dollar store. I guess you could borrow money from-only God knows who and pay them back with you're tax return...I believe the government gives you $67 for living here....Scratch that-You're being audited for using TurboTax!

This is ridiculous, that will affect the Neighboor hood, more people will be looking for parking in astoria, LIC, sunnysyde, and taking the train.
This will jam queens and not the city.
No Tolls - 10 years ago
Whoever believes that adding tolls to the East River bridges is going to lower tolls in general is a fool. We all know the money hungry and dinsfuctional MTA and the car haters. Tolls will continue to rise no matter what. How much more do we need to be TAXED to line in NYC? And then a New Yorker will have to pay a toll just to drive inside Manhattan? OUTRAGEOUS and UN-AMERICAN!

we pay the highest taxes in the nation and our taxes pay for infrastructure repairs, let other people from outside of the city pay the tolls. It is crazy that we must pay for out of state and the city drivers that congest the city streets. We pay high rents and real estate taxes to live here, let outsiders pay for congestion. THE NERVE
