The 5th season came to an end with the tenderest and most beautiful scene. Bates appears in the doorway, walks up beside Anna and surprises her. The two of them rush out of the Great Hall, kiss and Bates sweeps Anna off her feet and holds her close to him. I'm sure women all over the world swooned at that moment.

Confused I thought the Crawley family consisted of Matthew, his wife Mary, his Mother Isobel and George Yet the story refers to the Earl of Grantham as part of the Crawley family and refers to the Christmas gathering as that of the Crawley family. What would be the sir name of the Earl of Grantham?

Good friends, you will be missed. I have looked forward for January to arrive because that meant "Downton Abbey" would soon be in my home, again. Just one more visit; then gone, not to return.
