Does the city of Ottawa need a bylaw to regulate the use of ghost bikes and other roadside memorials?

FORCING BIKES onto streets have caused more DEATHS than injuries from collisions on sidewalks.
    BIKES ARE NOT MOTOR VEHICLES!!
I think pedestrians and motorists alike need REMINDERS of the many DEATHS that occur because of the DANGEROUS bike LAWS!
I would like to see some kind of MEMORIAL on every SPOT there's been a DEATH by vehicles. If more people know the DEATH TOLLS of bike riders IN THIS CITY, then maybe they would rally for the BUILDING OF DESIGNATED BIKE LANES THAT DONT ALL OF A SUDDEN DISAPPEAR forcing bikes onto our DEADLY STREETS!!
Until you've lost a LOVED ONE TO DEATH BY VEHICLES you need to research and rally to find a BETTER SOLUTION until any future DECISIONS are made!!!
In the meantime PRAY you are not affected by the DEATH of one of your own...

There is a locked bike outside my work place (fed. government building) for the last 4 years. I see multiple bikes left every winter at the Greenboro park n ride. This bikes should be removed after 6 months clearly they have been abandoned.

Cyclists and motorists die on the roads every week. I understand wanting to remember the cyclists but after 6 months the memorial should be removed. Same goes for the memorial for the women who's body was found at South Keys, the shrine continues but has it become an eye sore. Let this women rest in peace so we can all move on.

I contacted Mayor Watson about bikes abandon during the winter attached to street signs. There are signs and media announcements when snow removal is happening and if you're parked when they are doing snow removal, the city will ticket and tow your car. I asked why the same doesn't apply to bikes and Mayor Watson said it was because they aren't licenced. So a bike that has been chained to a sidewalk post or sign that has sat in a snow bank all winter and prevents the sidewalk snow plows from properly cleaning, he is saying he has no control over? There's been a bike on my street attached to a sign for the last 2 years and hasn't moved. I think that memorials and abandon bikes are more of a hazzaard than a memorial
