I think this poll proves that the concrete and steel industry has done a great job of vilifying the wood industry.

Just another way for greedy developers to build these structures as cheap as possible. The Developers buy the material direct from lumber suppliers eliminating a markup on material by a reputable contractor then they hire under financed " framers" that are often strictly labor brokers
People are delusional if they think the savings from this practise are passed on to the consumers.
Home builders have been doing this for years lining their pockets in the name of saving consumers money...what a joke!

Safety codes are the "minimum" expected. All you have to do is watch any of Mike Holmes shows to know how easily the minimum is not even followed. Yes, he works mainly in Ontario, but it happens here in Calgary too,
We need affordable housing, but we need SAFE affordable housing.
