Both positions are badly worded. The first statement could apply to: assisted suicide, withdrawal of lifesaving treatment, or any suicide for any reason. The "against" version implies there is only one reason to be against legalization of assisted suicide - religious. There are many other reasons that people can and do oppose legalization.
