I think Empire is the best show on TV right now. I love every bit of the show. You go Cookie. I want to see more of Ivan Ellis. People take note, he is a rising star in the making. Cast keep doing what your doing.
Keeping in mind that the show was 2hrs long yet at least 45mins heavy in commercials, I knew that the writing was going to have to be exceptional in order to get the wrap-up done within the confines of an hour of actual show time and this is where I found the show fell short. The storyline "felt" rushed and disjointed. It felt like the writers bit off more than they could chew (in terms of the storyline) which in turn caused the writers to rush the finale. It didn't flow well! In comparison, I'll use the TV show "Scandal", a show where each episode is PACKED FULL of twist and turns from START to FINISH yet somehow the writers of that show (Shonda Rhimes and her staff) brilliantly pull it all together skillfully and seamlessly each and every time! I believe "Empire" has the bones of a really great show in the making. I'll even go as far as to say that I actually believe the show could (with time & if done correctly) successfully do (as many people feel it's already done) something that has yet to be done with a predominately African American driven show (in terms of actors) and that is to potentially change the television game and successfully spin off joining both the television world and the music world in ways we've not seen before! And yes, I know that it's actually in the works as we speak with some of the biggest heavy hitters in music making appearances on the show as well as guest appearances being made showcasing some of the cast's musical talents on show's such as "The View" and getting actual recording deals due to they're exposure on the show. Only thing is, I'm just not sure of the longevity of it all. It's yet to be seen but I think it can be done if The Machine that is "Empire", the television series, is handled properly!

Empire is the best show of the year so far and will be hard to beat
