If I lost them all it would not be a disaster, as I print every picture that I want to keep. Maybe it's a hangover from film days, but until I have a print in my hand, the picture taking process does not feel complete. Watching an A4 print 'developing' out of my printer is just as satisfying to me as watching a wet print developing in a darkroom.

I have a mild obsession with saving files on memory sticks, removable storage, and CD's but I am very fearful of trusting cloud storage for fear of not only loss but pictures being obtained without permission and used for commercial purposes
No, because I use a cloud backup storage solution that ensures my files are stored in such a way that even if a single data center goes down my photos aren't lost.
