Okay, besides on what everybody is saying about this subject, I totally agree on the whole diss towards Stabler. To be honest, we all know that Elliot was there for Olivia, 24/7 and was her support and of course she was his...but where was the Goodbye when he left her and threw away the 12 years that they had together. Even though, Olivia spoke about adoption to him, of course she was unable too and of course she wanted too. Last time I checked the only reason she was able to adopt was because of the judge single guardian or not. Her partner supported her of course like he should. Nick wasnt Elliot but she knew Nick was her healing process and that he will never leave like he did. That's not what friends do.

I don't like how easily she waved off the time with Stabler. She doesn't even talk about him for YEARS and then says she didn't grow with him? I don't think 12 long years of having each other's backs should be dismissed as "I didn't grow." It makes their relationship look like nothing, but their partnership was looked at by tv viewers as the ultimate platonic friendship everyone looked up to. What ever happened to "I'd give you a kidney." "not if I gave you mine first." They weren't even on bad terms when he decided to leave, I really can't understand why she shaded him like that. When I first started the show, I remember thinking, "damn I wish I had a friendship like that." But I don't want one that ends suddenly for no reason and gets waved off as a worthless decade of nothing but agony.

I'm sorry but I've watch the series since the beginning and Olivia has grown so much since it started. She has grown stronger and has become one of the best characters on any SVU show. Her character has developed more in the past four seasons than she had in the first 12. Elliot had so much shit going on it had no room for her to grow. I know everybody love Elliot but with him gone the show and character has developed immensely. SVU I truly believe is the best L&O series and will continue to grow. Those who said the show isn't the same without Elliot only say that because he was their favorite. You don't stop watching something just because your favorite character dies or leaves.

Bring back Stabler (Chris Meloni) the show "to me" is just not the same! I don't even watch the new ones!!!

No Olivia did not ! She must realize that she is just as hot-tempered as Elliot, even more so as she has moved up in the NYPD. Since the actress is also writing some of the episodes, she is revealing as a control freak and wants to have her way all the time. She is zealous in her quest to arrest anyone and she goes full throttle in her pursuit! I love Olivia but she doesn't like competition!

Why is it everyone that left after stabler got to have a good buy and attention as to the why. There was no closure with stabler. I think as hose of us who invested years to the story felt cheated and defiantly still miss stabler. I can see Olivia has grown so it's a bit self serving for her to say with stabler she could not have grown. There is still room for stabler with his own growth on the show

Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler were "work spouses" who I thought were 100 % loyal to each other. The storyline never gave the impression of Olivia feeling held back by Elliot. The timing wasn't right for Olivia to adopt a baby- when she was with Stabler. SVU devotee's may recall that she actually tried while Elliot was her partner- and he encouraged her- but she stated that they wouldn't let her adopt as a single police office working mom- or something to that effect. In terms of her advancing more in her job with Amaro vs Stabler, Cragen was her boss who she HIGHLY respected in both a professional (and father figure like way.) She had to be encouraged to even "try-out" for Sargent or take the Sargent's exam..... It certainly wasn't Stabler or Amaro who had ANY influence one way or another on that. If I recall correctly - I believe Cragen encouraged Olivia to take the Sargent's Exam. So SVU writer's honor the character's - past and present- and don't diss Stabler or his contribution to Law and Order, SVU!

Think that might have been because EVERYONE else didn't leave the show since she began moving up in rank??? I mean there is growing because you want to and growing because all of the people above you with seniority are gone.

I get it but I don't like it.

Olivia was completely fair in assessing her relationship with Elliot in this episode. In her 12 years as Stabler's partner, she played side-seat to him and, often enough, marriage counselor to him and his wife Kathy. He would offer her advice and he would offer to listen from time to time.. yes, he knew her really well, as a partner of that kind of longevity would, but with Amaro, they really spent time together, they talked a lot more about things that didn't have to do with work. They spent time outside of work together. Olivia learned, in her ascension through the ranks, developed bonds with her team that she never truly did with Elliot.
