Not a surprise since firearms were not demonized like they are now and democrats back then were not as far left and sheepish as they are now.

The article states that she carried her firearm when traveling. Presently NY does not have or give reciprocity with any other states so theoretically a NY permit is not valid in other states. I believe that a pistol license should be as good as a driver's license when it comes to interstate travel.
