What rules do you think the Ohio BBS should adopt?

Allow barricade devices to be used temporarily, until a certain date when classroom doors will have to be compliant with model codes.

Allow devices which require one additional operation to unlatch (plus the original lockset/latchset).

Require barricade devices to be secured when not in use, to prevent unauthorized lockdown.

Allow barricade devices which may be unlocked from the outside by emergency responders using a key or other credential.

Require all operating hardware and security devices to be mounted between 34 inches and 48 inches above the floor.

Allow barricade devices that are not permanently installed on the door.

Allow barricade devices on doors that are not required to have panic hardware.

Require barricade devices used on fire doors to be listed for that purpose.
