We subsidize a lot of things in this country. Continuing to subsidize solar makes sense as a way to cut back on greenhouse gases from fossil fuel and provide incentive for more solar research.
Subsidies need to gradually decrease so as not to slow down the momentum of solar power growth
Drop the subsidies. Solar isn’t going to get any cheaper. China has seen to that. And cost is a matter of production scale rather than research. So there will be no more incentive to drop subsidies in the future than there is now. So why not bite the bullet?
Moot question. Utilities are soon going to be the major rooftop solar providers to residential customers.
