They knew what they had in Brandon Weeden last year. I blame ownership for not addressing the backup QB position during the off season. Tony Romo is great when he is healthy, but he has a bad back and he is getting older. ..I think they should have drafted a QB to develop for the future. As for this situation. ..Brandon Weeden is horrible. ...I can't understand how he is even in the league. I really felt that we had a good chance of going to the Superbowl this year, as long as Romo didn't get hurt. ...keeping maranelli was huge, plus signing Greg Hardy, resigning Rolando Mcclain and drafting Randy Gregory...these were great off season moves. ..not securing the backup QB position....they dropped the ball

Weedon's first game took me back to when we had Brad "The Joke" Johnson. Johnson could not complete a pass down field and Weedon is the same. The other tems defenses know this and play the box for the run and also shut down all the passes knowing they don't have to guard down field. Another thing I noticed about Weedon is that he holds the ball and does not trust the WR's to get open nor will he throw them open as Tony always does. We have to have a change to Cassle. We need his vetern leadership and ability to throw down field.

KEEP Weeden, we could wind up with the #3 overall pick in the 2016 draft!!! That could be turned into a midround 1st and high 2nd giving us a 1st and two 2nd round picks - that could be HUGE.

    KEEP Weeden, KEEEEEEEEEEEEP Weeden!!!

  • Darryl Thompson - 9 years ago

I say KEEP Weeden at QB, we will have GREAT picks in the 2016 draft - DON'T blow it by taking him out, PLEEASSE1

Get Tebow, Hell, if he don't Throw a touch down, He's Big Enough To Run it in his Damn Self, But Tebow can do Both.
    He's better than Weed en...
Better than Matt cassel, Already proven, AND he didn't cost no body their coaching job. He'll, I'm not the only one thinks so, Ask Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, Some others that was on a football life bout Tebow, a lot of player's said Nothin but good things about him, AND They know how it is, y'all nobody's don't know Shit.
He took Denver to the Damn pay offs

And, At Least he don't have to cheat , AND He Don't Fight Dogs like One QB,
A cheater AND a dog killer, Playing in the nfl

Brandon Weeden is done. I had hope in the beginning that he was improved, but he has underperformed, especially these last two games. There were chances he never took. There were passes that should've been caught. Either way, his continual dump-off to the RB is getting tiring.
Do I advocate for Cassel or Moore? I'm undecided at this point. Moore just got cut from the Lions 'cause somebody looked better than him. And he is inexperienced at the NFL level. Cassel? He got cut, then re-signed because Manuel is no good. Ryan was lucky NE didn't pick him up.
Who do I want to start? There's Tim Tebow, but also Jeff Tuehl. And has anyone forgotten Dustin Vaughan? His downgrade in throwing was due to an errant advisor who didn't know what he was talking about.
Of the two options the Cowboys have, I wouldn't hesitate to start Cassel first. And then Moore. But don't forget about Vaughan. He may show up somehow.

Huge Cowboys fan, but it's time for Cassel to see what he can do. Weeden is a bit of a statue back there and seems to be only reliable in the very short passing game. It feels like we have zero chance of winning if Weeden is the starter. Go Boys!

Me personally, and what I think is that Jerry gave Weeden time to show and prove himself and he didn't. I am a Dallas Cowboys Fan until I DIE but let's just see what Cassel can do.#CowboysBaby# WeDemBoys#WeDaBest

Give Kellen Moore a one game chance. He may not be 6-4 and have a cannon for an arm but the man just has too many smarts and the tools to not lose a game as Weedon has done.. He did nothing but set ncca records at BSU and found so many ways to find a way to win.

The only hope for the Cowboys and their fans is that Aaron Rodgers (and the rest of the Packers) suddenly decides to go to Dallas and save their sinking ship. Now, wake up because that's not going to happen. How sweet it is to see the so-called "America's Team" in turmoil. Blame the QB and/or Owner... same old story. How about blaming that over-rated O-line and Defense? Having only 2 or 3 good players on both sides of the ball doesn't a Champion make. Weeden, or whomever else is playing QB, will be running for their lives when/if their turn comes. Meanwhile, the rest of us can sit back, watch and enjoy, the pending collapse. GO PACKERS!

Weeden has athletic ability but lacks the knack of winning. All of these QBs have talent in various degrees but Weeden just does not have the intangible quality that separates a winning QB from a mediocre one. If he is not benched then the rest of the team will basically get the idea that the next game will be no different from the last 3 Weeden attempts. You pretty much have to make the QB change in order to give the team a spark of hope. To play him the next game is to say that the Boys accept what has happened in the last 3 games as the norm for now.

  • ashley n - 9 years ago

Tebow is better than either of these bums. Cowboys thought it was a good idea to get one more lineman to block for what? Weeden? He sucks beyond belief. Should have taken Johnny Football. Now it is time to trade for him. You have nothing in future as romo is almost done. he is not getting any younger and he is getting injured more and more....if you had tebow and manziel right now you would have a chance to win....with weeden and cassell you do not.

Sorry NFL, we have the best quarterback!!!!! GO PATS!!!!

  • John Carpenter - 9 years ago

I think Weeden sealed his fate when he missed Willimas by 10 feet in the final moments of the game. Did it matter? Not in the big picture but after the prior play Garrett walked on to the field and you could almost read his lips, "C'mon! Make a play!"

I feel for the guy but it's only going to get worse for him if he remains the starter. Fans can be vicious and display almost incomprehensible cruelty.

With 11 games left the Cowboys may have to go 8-3 to win the division and if Weeden can't deliver not win two of the next four, life will be hell for him in Dallas and his carrer may be on the line.

Trade late round pick for RG3

  • Alex H - 9 years ago

Yes give the damn Tebow crap a rest already. Tebow tried out for so many teams and no one wants him, he was good in college but he is not nfl material why would he even be an option for the Cowboys. Keep tebow mania far away from Dallas please!

  • Owen Christian - 9 years ago

Not only should they not start hm they should cut him. He's had enough chances and failed all of them

  • Christopher A. Ryan - 9 years ago

No excuse to miss wide open receiver in end one
Weeden hasn't won a game in what 12 starts ?
    Might not make difference changing
But it is time to try it
    Or enjoy losing

  • Tim Ogden - 9 years ago

Please let the Tebow thing die. He cost a coach his job for drafting him and he has a noodle-arm. If you want him in your bible study, fine, but he's not an NFL-caliber QB.

  • Jose - 9 years ago

Nether I still give kellen Moore a change .Tony got his change when drew Bledsoe could not win for us give the guy a change his only 27yrs old

  • Jim - 9 years ago

The QB situation should have been addressed a long time ago, Romo was always one hit away from a career ending injury.

  • Alex H - 9 years ago

I agree they tried weeden and it is definitely not working. The only passes he can throw are short passes anything deep and he is very inaccurate. Weeden and his completion percentage does not matter if you can't even score a single touchdown like we saw against the patriots. Since he has stepped in for romo we have lost every game. I love my cowboys but they need to try another Qb or the loses are gonna keep coming. I think our defense has to learn how to wrap up runners as well, how can 4 guys hit Lewis and he still managed to get in the end zone? Looked like Marshawn lynch against our defense. One silver lining is Greg hardy looks good. I beg you Cowboys to bench weeden!!!! Unless you wanna keep losing!

  • John oneill - 9 years ago

To bad we can't fire Jerry Jones, he knows how to make millions , but nothing about football what a shame, the coaching on down is pitiful, there are plenty of QBs who better then what they have now and coaches as well
