Ha. Ha. Ha. I just found an old Hollywood Life poll from June, 2014 (What are your dearest hopes and dreams for Stiles' love life in Season 4? ). STEREK won by 80.3 % . Stydia was only 12.74 %.
Which means that Stydia may have been the second largest ship back then, but tiny compared to Sterek. No wonder they struggle to win polls (except on MTV, because of.....reasons). They are actually a small ship. It's just that they are the biggest remaining ship in the fandom. They just like to pretend they're bigger.
Like a cat fluffing up it's fur (ok, that's a funny visual).

Ratings for Teen Wolf finale was 0.80. Second lowest rating episode EVER. The lowest rating was also in 5B, episode 18 (0.76). In fact, most of 5B has rated abysmally. And this was a final, usually they rate better.
Jeff Davis, you can stop flogging the dead horse. The show is already dead. I wonder how many will stick around for Season 6 ?

So, the final episode was.........meh. All the villains duly dispatched now (Valack, The Dread Doctors, The Beast, Theo, The Desert Wolf). There was no real tension as the set reports already told us Mason would be saved. Lydia survived having her throat slashed open, and Stiles a hunk of glass through his chest (HOW ???).
The only surprising part was when it turned out Scott had been working with Chris Argent AND Deucalion, against Gerard and Theo. The puppy is learning.
I know a lot of stydiots were rooting for Parrish to die......surprise, suckers !!!! The Hellhound is still here. And the stydia was at a minimum. Easily could be seen as a friend caring about another.

A lot more votes in round 2, as expected as small ships fall by the wayside (but Captain Swan and Stydia and Richonne and Johnlock also were beaten). Huh, stydia lost another poll. It's becoming a trend for the fandom.
Anyway, I did notice that not all the voting is by those who love a certain ship/s. There is quite a bit of strategic voting too , as big ships look to the next round. If they can knock out a major opponent now, it's easier to get to the final round.
Marrish and Steroline are cross voting for each other, thanks to steroline knocking out stydia in round 1. That means we'll face each other next, then may the best ship win. And if we can knock out Klaroline, we will have friends for life amongst the steroliners.
For those of you in for the long haul, you can vote about 20-25 times (it's on polldaddy), then take a minutes break before continuing to vote. Easy enough to rack up 100 votes over a short period of time.
Another form of voting I've noticed a lot recently is hate-voting. Basically, you vote against a ship you hate (ie. Stydia) until it's knocked out. There can be a great deal of satisfaction from this, especially after dealing with certain fans (stydiots) every day.

Actually, I think Dylan O'Brien may be leaving. His filming of a movie conflicts with Season 6 filming, so...............Stiles is going to die (they'll leave it on a cliffhanger in the last minutes, to try and get people to tune in again next season).
But no Dylan = no show. It would never survive not having him. So you better hope I'm wrong.

Huh. The ratings improved from 0.76 to 0.90. Maybe because casual viewers realised they weren't going to be drowned in whole episodes of Stydia, now that Jeff got the "baiting" episode out of the way.
Also, the finale promo seems to show several characters in mortal peril. Stiles with a shard of glass through his chest, Lydia with her throat ripped out, Malia about to be killed by her own mother etc.
So, who will take a bet on who's really going to die. I've heard that Holland wants to leave , so my money is on her. Watch two lots of shippers lose their tiny little minds.

Why couldn't they have Deucalion as the "big bad" this season ? In one episode, he showed more intelligence, menace and charisma than the entire chimera pack all season. The Dread Doctors and the Beast are basically cyphers. And no one knows the real motivation for Theo or The Desert Wolf .
We need someone like Deucalion or Peter. A weird looking cgi beast just doesn't cut it.

What a week it's been. Tyler Hoechlin is to be in the Fifty Shades sequal (good news). And Jeff Davis is taking a step back from Teen Wolf (better news).
"Citing exhaustion after more than 6 years helming Teen Wolf, Executive Producer Jeff Davis tells Teen Wolf News he’s pulling back a bit from the show. “Yes, MTV is graciously allowing me to step back in my role.” Davis says he’ll remain as “showrunner” but probably won’t be so hands-on with the scripts and the day-to-day of the production."
Does that mean that MTV are not happy with the falling ratings, and want better writers, and a new showrunner ? I guess they didn't fire him, as it would look bad for the show.
Anyway, in the very best news, the stydiot fandom is getting a bit peeved by the fact Stydia isn't canon yet . .....and only 2 episodes left for season so unlikely to get it. They are getting pretty vicious with the Stalia and Marrish fandoms because of this.
For all marrish shippers, don't worry about that story of who's confirmed for season 6. Parrish is not on it, but it's an incomplete list and they wouldn't want to give away who lives or dies in the final battle. Chris Argent and Deaton are not on the confirmation list either.
And if the worst happens, and Parrish dies ....... well, we can all watch as the ratings plunge even lower. Seriously, the show can't afford to lose one of the last hotties it has left. Especially as Hoechlin is not returning, it seems. And no sign of Bohen either.

You would think with how "HUGE" (sarcastic laugh) the stydia fandom was, that it would translate to higher ratings. Like it did in the Sterek era. The ratings are out for the latest episode . . . . .

The ratings for series 5 have been 1.53, 1.18, 1.38, 1.01, 1.26, 1.13, 1.09, 1.10, 1.10, 0.95 (5A), 1.11, 0.93, 0.92, 0.91, 0.97, 0.88, 0.97, 0.76 (5B so far).
I seem to remember joking that the show would drop below a million viewers by 5B. But now it's headed much lower. Even with all the Twitter "trending" by the stydiots. But stydia was never as big a ship as Sterek anyway. And the fandom is now split between Stydia and Stalia-Marrish and people who hate stydia. There is as much negative stuiff written about stydia as there is positive.

Maybe, Teen Wolf should have tried harder in holding on to popular characters like Jackson ,Erica, Boyd, Isaac, Allison, Danny, Derek and Peter. Maybe, it should have had more scenes between Stiles and Derek, who are ratings GOLD. Maybe it should have done more this season with returning characters. We loved Crystal Reed returning, but were reminded that Allison is still dead. Coach was hilarious but only in one episode. And Deucalion had nothing to do but be chained down in a room, and yet showed much more menace and charisma than Theo and his pathetic pack.
The villains for this season did not seem to have any purpose (Peter at least had vengeance and lust for power) and were ultimately not that scary. Masked men/women and a cgi monster just couldn't show emotions. We have no idea why the Dread Doctors worship The Beast. Or any background on The Beast itself. It seemed to exist long before it took over Sebastian Valet (like the Nogitsune).
With Peter Hale, we got the background story of his family and the Argents.
We need to face it. Teen Wolf is slowly dying. It's now shedding viewers every week. I can't see myself watching series 6 at this point.
It's always a shame when a good series goes bad. But this is just painful to watch. Heroes season 4 is looking like a masterpiece compared to this.
I'll still be around, voting in polls or trolling your blogs (because that at least is fun). But I'm out. This series can die without me watching. I'll read Price Peterson's recaps and that's it.

I love that in the last 2 episodes, there has been zero STYDIA. Lydia seems to be more concerned with Parrish. Ha !!! And Jeff Davis saying "I am a stydia fan myself, too". He must have peed himself laughing when he realised the Stydiots actually bought it. Let's give them one episode of stydia, and that'll keep them hooked. It worked too.
The final episode is called Apotheosis, which means " the highest point in the development of something; a culmination or climax " and "the elevation of someone to divine status.". So, it seems that will be the episode where Parrish transforms into a full Hellhound. I can't wait !!

“It’s sad how Lydia is just a prop now spending all her time with Parrish.” is a refrain coming from the STYDIOT fandom.
Many of us in the Marrish fandom have replied to this. It seems to be ignored as much as the whole pedophile or necrophile crap.
Lydia is the one who seeks out Jordan. Who helps him discover what he is. Comforts him when he is afraid of himself. Things that Lydia NEVER got from the "pack" . It was Jennifer Blake that revealed what Lydia was, a banshee.
Lydia has NEVER been bashful in her romantic choices. She pretty much called the shots in her relationship with Jackson, chose when to end it with Aiden. And yet, she never even dated Stiles. Never was alone with him, when it wasn't "pack business". Never even had a cup of coffee with Stiles.
She still shows no sign of anything but gratitude to Stiles, for her rescue. She calls Parrish by his first name, and seemed very concerned that he'd been possibly subsumed by The Hellhound. Friendship at least. Or maybe something more.
Jeff Davis will reveal all. my guess is that NONE of us are going to be happy. Happy shipping.

So many thoughts after the last episode. Like, how did none of the students see a bleeding, naked Parrish in the library ? Why did a charity lacrosse match go ahead, right after a massacre of students on that bus ? Why did the "True Alpha " hide when the beast chased after all those students, rather than try to save them ? (thanks prettiestcaptain for those observations).
But, most of all, why does THE BEAST look like a smoky, glowy eyed pug having a temper tantrum ? No worse than the cgi version of alpha Peter Hale, but much less effective. You can't have villains like the Dread Doctors or The Beast. Eventually people want to see under the "mask".
And Peter Hale was much more effective as a villain because most of the time you saw the man, and not the cgi monster. A cgi monster or masked doctors can't emote. They are mere shadows.
And therefore not really scary at all.

Marrish never reduces Lydia to a love interest. In fact .. Parrish is the one to be reduced to a love interest. It is always about Lydia. Her problems. Her pain. Her story. Not Parrish’. Of training her to defend and fight for herself.

Ratings for latest episode was 0.97, which was . . . .third highest for 5b. yay. Look at those ratings soar. Note that lowest rating episode EVER was the stydia shitfest last week. Soooo many stydis fans.....oh wait. With little styia in sight this week, ratings improved slightly.
Face it, stydiots. Stydia might be the biggest faction left in this fandom, but almost as many hate it. You're the Delena of this fandom, and the catering to you by Jeff is killing off interest in the show. When the show inevitably gets cancelled, it will be the STYDIOTS who will be remembered for the death of the show.

Ha. Ha. Ha. I just found an old Hollywood Life poll from June, 2014 (What are your dearest hopes and dreams for Stiles' love life in Season 4? ). STEREK won by 80.3 % . Stydia was only 12.74 %.
Which means that Stydia may have been the second largest ship back then, but tiny compared to Sterek. No wonder they struggle to win polls (except on MTV, because of.....reasons). They are actually a small ship. It's just that they are the biggest remaining ship in the fandom. They just like to pretend they're bigger.

Ratings for Teen Wolf finale was 0.80. Second lowest rating episode EVER. The lowest rating was also in 5B, episode 18 (0.76). In fact, most of 5B has rated abysmally. And this was a final, usually they rate better.

So, the final episode was.........meh. All the villains duly dispatched now (Valack, The Dread Doctors, The Beast, Theo, The Desert Wolf). There was no real tension as the set reports already told us Mason would be saved. Lydia survived having her throat slashed open, and Stiles a hunk of glass through his chest (HOW ???).
The only surprising part was when it turned out Scott had been working with Chris Argent AND Deucalion, against Gerard and Theo. The puppy is learning.
I know a lot of stydiots were rooting for Parrish to die......surprise, suckers !!!! The Hellhound is still here. And the stydia was at a minimum. Easily could be seen as a friend caring about another.

Anyway, I did notice that not all the voting is by those who love a certain ship/s. There is quite a bit of strategic voting too , as big ships look to the next round. If they can knock out a major opponent now, it's easier to get to the final round.
Marrish and Steroline are cross voting for each other, thanks to steroline knocking out stydia in round 1. That means we'll face each other next, then may the best ship win. And if we can knock out Klaroline, we will have friends for life amongst the steroliners.
For those of you in for the long haul, you can vote about 20-25 times (it's on polldaddy), then take a minutes break before continuing to vote. Easy enough to rack up 100 votes over a short period of time.
Another form of voting I've noticed a lot recently is hate-voting. Basically, you vote against a ship you hate (ie. Stydia) until it's knocked out. There can be a great deal of satisfaction from this, especially after dealing with certain fans (stydiots) every day.

Actually, I think Dylan O'Brien may be leaving. His filming of a movie conflicts with Season 6 filming, so...............Stiles is going to die (they'll leave it on a cliffhanger in the last minutes, to try and get people to tune in again next season).
But no Dylan = no show. It would never survive not having him. So you better hope I'm wrong.
Huh. The ratings improved from 0.76 to 0.90. Maybe because casual viewers realised they weren't going to be drowned in whole episodes of Stydia, now that Jeff got the "baiting" episode out of the way.
Also, the finale promo seems to show several characters in mortal peril. Stiles with a shard of glass through his chest, Lydia with her throat ripped out, Malia about to be killed by her own mother etc.

Why couldn't they have Deucalion as the "big bad" this season ? In one episode, he showed more intelligence, menace and charisma than the entire chimera pack all season. The Dread Doctors and the Beast are basically cyphers. And no one knows the real motivation for Theo or The Desert Wolf .
We need someone like Deucalion or Peter. A weird looking cgi beast just doesn't cut it.

What a week it's been. Tyler Hoechlin is to be in the Fifty Shades sequal (good news). And Jeff Davis is taking a step back from Teen Wolf (better news).
"Citing exhaustion after more than 6 years helming Teen Wolf, Executive Producer Jeff Davis tells Teen Wolf News he’s pulling back a bit from the show. “Yes, MTV is graciously allowing me to step back in my role.” Davis says he’ll remain as “showrunner” but probably won’t be so hands-on with the scripts and the day-to-day of the production."
Does that mean that MTV are not happy with the falling ratings, and want better writers, and a new showrunner ? I guess they didn't fire him, as it would look bad for the show.
Anyway, in the very best news, the stydiot fandom is getting a bit peeved by the fact Stydia isn't canon yet . .....and only 2 episodes left for season so unlikely to get it. They are getting pretty vicious with the Stalia and Marrish fandoms because of this.
For all marrish shippers, don't worry about that story of who's confirmed for season 6. Parrish is not on it, but it's an incomplete list and they wouldn't want to give away who lives or dies in the final battle. Chris Argent and Deaton are not on the confirmation list either.
And if the worst happens, and Parrish dies ....... well, we can all watch as the ratings plunge even lower. Seriously, the show can't afford to lose one of the last hotties it has left. Especially as Hoechlin is not returning, it seems. And no sign of Bohen either.

I seem to remember joking that the show would drop below a million viewers by 5B. But now it's headed much lower. Even with all the Twitter "trending" by the stydiots. But stydia was never as big a ship as Sterek anyway. And the fandom is now split between Stydia and Stalia-Marrish and people who hate stydia. There is as much negative stuiff written about stydia as there is positive.

Maybe, Teen Wolf should have tried harder in holding on to popular characters like Jackson ,Erica, Boyd, Isaac, Allison, Danny, Derek and Peter. Maybe, it should have had more scenes between Stiles and Derek, who are ratings GOLD. Maybe it should have done more this season with returning characters. We loved Crystal Reed returning, but were reminded that Allison is still dead. Coach was hilarious but only in one episode. And Deucalion had nothing to do but be chained down in a room, and yet showed much more menace and charisma than Theo and his pathetic pack.
The villains for this season did not seem to have any purpose (Peter at least had vengeance and lust for power) and were ultimately not that scary. Masked men/women and a cgi monster just couldn't show emotions. We have no idea why the Dread Doctors worship The Beast. Or any background on The Beast itself. It seemed to exist long before it took over Sebastian Valet (like the Nogitsune).
With Peter Hale, we got the background story of his family and the Argents.
We need to face it. Teen Wolf is slowly dying. It's now shedding viewers every week. I can't see myself watching series 6 at this point.
It's always a shame when a good series goes bad. But this is just painful to watch. Heroes season 4 is looking like a masterpiece compared to this.

I love that in the last 2 episodes, there has been zero STYDIA. Lydia seems to be more concerned with Parrish. Ha !!! And Jeff Davis saying "I am a stydia fan myself, too". He must have peed himself laughing when he realised the Stydiots actually bought it. Let's give them one episode of stydia, and that'll keep them hooked. It worked too.
The final episode is called Apotheosis, which means " the highest point in the development of something; a culmination or climax " and "the elevation of someone to divine status.". So, it seems that will be the episode where Parrish transforms into a full Hellhound. I can't wait !!

Holland Roden (Lydia) has dated several of her co-stars but I never read that Dylan O'Brien (Stiles) was one of them. Ian Bohen (Peter Hale) was , from what I've read.

So many thoughts after the last episode. Like, how did none of the students see a bleeding, naked Parrish in the library ? Why did a charity lacrosse match go ahead, right after a massacre of students on that bus ? Why did the "True Alpha " hide when the beast chased after all those students, rather than try to save them ? (thanks prettiestcaptain for those observations).
But, most of all, why does THE BEAST look like a smoky, glowy eyed pug having a temper tantrum ? No worse than the cgi version of alpha Peter Hale, but much less effective. You can't have villains like the Dread Doctors or The Beast. Eventually people want to see under the "mask".
And Peter Hale was much more effective as a villain because most of the time you saw the man, and not the cgi monster. A cgi monster or masked doctors can't emote. They are mere shadows.
