Democrats don't truly care about the plight of the common people. They're bought by the same interests as the republicans who are career politicians. Don't be fooled. When was the last time a "no namer" got voted into office? The families who have legacies like San Nicolas (Quitugua), Blas (Frmr. Lt. Gov), Wonpat, Ada, Torres (Camacho), or others with connections to money and other powerful lots like Rodriguez (Dungo), Respicio (Gutierrez), and Underwood are controlling the fate of the common people. Stop already! Get them bums out, all of them!

Get rid of anyone with over 10 years or 5 terms. They've been in there too long and many haven't done much to change the course of Guam. They continue to promote nepotism, cater to government employees benefits and perks, disregard the common taxpaying citizens in the private sector, and get in the way of economic growth and workforce development. When was the last time any actually visited the departments and agencies they have oversight of? Talked to the people in the private sector who are impacted by their stupid laws and policies?

We should vote against having 15 senators, instead have 5 to represent this small island of ours. Besides they hardly do anything anyways. I would be at the store at 845am and would see some of these senators taking their time chatting or shopping when they should be at their office working for the people that voted them in. WE DO NOT NEED ALL THESE SENATORS, PEOPLE OF GUAM VOTE TO HAVE AT LEAST 5, BUT NOT 15. These senators are making this a career, they think that because their name is well established that they decide to run every election for the sake of being voted in, not because they are hardworking but for the luxury of getting PAID FOR DOING NOTHING, JUST SITTING PRETTY BEHIND AN EXPENSIVE DESK. You know who you are!!

Vice Speaker Benjamin Cruz is one hard working Senator who works in the best interest of our people, our island! He is true at heart!

We thank San Nicholas for standing-up against Rory Respicio and for calling Dennis Rodriguiez a LIAR.

we need more mike San Nicolas's in the legislature who truly want to serve the people of Guam. Get rid of all these actors and wannabes who are there just for their own interests. You were elected to be the voice of our needs. Anyone who voted for pay raises and same sex marriage won't get my vote. Wake up Guam.

I would vote for anyone new to replace the nine senators that voted for the pay raises.

People leave the PI because of all the corruption but then vote for the same thing here?

  • Frank Cruz - 9 years ago

I like what San Nicholas is doing that will more than likely oust his fellow democrat colleagues who are already at the bottom 5 from the last election. San Nicholas indirectly is pushing new candidates to oust Tina Barnes, Rory Respicio, & Won-pat. He is trying hard to attack Dennis Rodriguez calling him a liar.

Out with those old career politicians. Cruz has sucked off the government teat for over 40 years and needs to go. Always so angry and catty,
Same for Won Pat and Muna Barnes. Tom was promising but has become what he originally campaigned against, a career politician. He hires only family and has no oroginal ideas.
Rodriguez is sincere and so is Underwood. They need to continue doing their work with their sincerity. Aguon and Respicio need to step up or step out as they are coming to a crossroad in their careers. San Nicolas is just starting and would do well to veer away from the path of destruction of his senior colleagues. Cruz, Won Pat, Barnes and Ada need to move out. They no longer contribute positively to our island.

All of them (except San Nicolas and Underwood) voted for the $24,000 dollar payraise making them the second highest paid legislature in the nation without providing the people of Guam the bare minimal in services in return.
    Islander 2, you are correct!

  • Hoale - 9 years ago

Wouldn't vote for any of them after all the BS. they have pulled on the people of Guam. Follow my lead:
    Vote Democrat
    Vote Republican or
    Vote Independent
PLEASE DON'T VOTE FOR ANYONE WHO IS ALREADY THERE.
Get some new blood who truly has the interest for all of Guam and not just themselves. They should only serve ONE term and then go back to work at what they did before become a Public Servant (?) like everyone else.

  • Longfellow - 9 years ago

Get them all out of there!!! Shame to the island!!!!

  • Pika Pika - 9 years ago

to Islander 2: you must have some serious personal issues and don't know much about whats happening when it comes to politics. you probably don't have any facts to back up your negative comments. what have you done in your life time here on guam to try and make it a better place to live and to help our island people?

  • Islander 2 - 9 years ago

Tina Muna Barnes, Rory Respecio and Dennis Rodriguez the three of the most corrupted Senators in Guam's Democratic Party . They really don't work for the people but they work for themselves with the people's money . Vote them out !
