I will never buy a 5.3, give me the 6.2 or I will be in a first on race day ????

CAFE standards probably prohibit it. I hope the new administration will change that. Government requirements have raised the cost of autos and has killed the industry. But that is the plan.

Whoever prohibited the 6.2 to be allowed in the Suburban should be fired! What a dumb ass call. Another reason to leave Chevy for another brand. Now, I assume the 6.2 will cost an additional arm or leg to get the 6.2

I've have owned 3 Tahoes and 4 Avalanches, and I agree the the 5.0 Liter engine is a little wimpy when it comes to pulling a load. I finally got tired of waiting for a 6.2 Liter engine in a Chevy and purchased a Cadillac Escalade and a Yukon Denali XL. I am extremely happy with these two vehicles. Great Power - Great Fuel Mileage. I assume that is what GM wanted me to do all the time.....buy up to a more expensive vehicle to get a 6.2L engine.

I've been a Tahoe guy and just recently test drove the Expedition and it's sad to see the Tahoe doesn't come close! I will wait for another year and hope the 6.2L engine is available for the Tahoe. I would rather go with Ford than GMC.... come on Chevy don't let us down!!

perhaps the 2016 3500 suburban should be an option for us standard non fleet people as well.

Leave the 6.2 for the higher end models. Ok maybe in the ltz only model would be ok!
