There are reasons why we change the clocks and they do still exist, the most important reason is that children are standing on the side of the roads, especially in the country at 7:45-8:45am which on DST is still dark out. By changing the clocks to ST very few children are waiting for buses in the dark and it is still light out when they get off buses around 4pm. For this reason we would have to stay on ST which would mean in the summer months it would be light out very early - 5:30-6am, and it would be dark around 8:30 - 9 pm instead of around 9:30 - 10 pm which it is on DST.
Nobody would ever agree on which time system we should be on so leave it as it is, many generations have dealt with the time change, children do adapt just like we do when we travel through different time zones.

To make to most out of sunlight, and to save on energy consumption we shouldn't join Saskatchewan but to prevent injuries and consistent medication dosage times we should.

Actually, the premise of the question is wrong. Saskatchewan stays on DST year round. We don't fall back in the winter. Something some other jurisdictions are now looking at doing.

keep one or the other but leave it the same all year round

Keep it the way it is ... Daylight savings is an archaic past time from the world war and is no longer necessary .... Time for Canada to stand on its own feet and quit following the Americans around

Just toss daylight saving time out the window and stay with our Standard Time Zones . There is no rational reason that I know of for these time changes every spring and fall . These changes cause so many needless disruptions in our everyday lives .

I think the huge % are in agreement that we should abolish changing the clocks and keep it permanently in daylight savings. Global you should change the wording

Keep it but get rid of standard time. the long evenings are nice. In the winter it's dark in the morning even on ST so just stay on DST

It may be that at one time there was a legitimate reason for daylight savings time, but not anymore. All it does is mix everyone and everything up. i.e. sleep/wake rhythms, medication timing, anyone who has a need for a regular schedule. For those of us who really are affected by the seasons it doesn't help. I see no value in the time change at all.

I have been waiting years for the provinces to quit the daylight savings. We spend some time down south and Arizina doesn't change their clocks either. look at the amount who don't want it!! over 87%. doesn't that tell you something? Manitoba wants clocks to stay as is.

Darkness at 5pm is great...Says no-one ever!!! Leave the clocks as they are. It's ridiculous that we switch them back and forth!!

I am always very happy to have the Daylight Savings Time kick in in the spring so that we have more daylight to get out and enjoy being outside whether it is gardening or just going for a walk. I would be extremely disappointed if this was eliminated.

Believe it or not but not everyone works nine to five, some work afternoon s and others nights.
Transportation and stores work weekends as do others. For these people it is usually just another change that they don't need.

Let's always be on Daylight Saving Time. The extra light in the evening is more valuable to me than in the early morning, especially throughout the winter months!

Being a morning person I much prefer standard time. Farmers work by the sun, not the clock!!

DLS please! Ridiculous to switch back and forth. That extra hour in the winter would be great.

This extra hour of sunshine in the evening is great. During winter months we rise and retire in the dark anyway. Go to DST and stay there. Do not fall back.

Stay on DST. Day light in the evening a boon!
