The bridge down by Travis school needs to be raised and the area further up the road where the asphalt has been removed and guardrail down needs attention also. Both places flooded in 2013 and 2015 and were impassable. These problem areas are safety issues for those living further up Lime Kiln Road (this includes Hillard Road). We either need another way out or these two places raised so they will not flood.

I agree with Jerrell's comment that an expansion of Hilliard to I35 would bypass the need for the Limekiln bridge and could potentially save residents heading north a lot of travel time. This sounds like a wonderful idea to me. Either way, in my opinion it is a huge safety issue to only have one access road that happens to be in a flood zone.

I think another option should be added to the poll, which is building an extension of Hilliard Rd. along the power line right-of-way over to I35. I understand that this has been proposed, and it does appear on the planning maps as a future option. This option would bypass the Limekiln Rd. bridge problem and provide access for Hilliard/Limekiln residents that avoids the Texas State traffic also.

I was caught in town along with my daughter. She without her medicine. Paid for motel , food, additional medicine. Couldn't convince anyone that the bridge was washed out. I am aware that the Fiddlers ( I think that is there name) last time didn't want anything done. I have also taken note that the poll says build a bridge. 87%. That should solve that. We need something done now and we do t need another study. People who like e out here knows exactly what we need.

Both me and my husband were caught on the town side of the bridge during the flood. My mother in law can not drive and lives on Hillard. We help get her groceries and medications, she was without us for 34 hours. Also, our dogs (we live on on Lime Kiln) were without us or food for 34 hours. WE NEED A HIGHER BRIDGE! Sincerely, Christal Moore
