I can't help but say what I see is two people (Blake and Gwen) having midlife crisis moments and they are acting like giddy school kids. The insensitivity of someone you love or loved with calling them your "Buddy" then releasing the information of your new romance which you have been asked about repeatedly for months prior to a very special night in her career. I see no texts or information that leads me to think that Miranda is his buddy or that he contacts or cares for her any longer. He has moved on and has already grieved the end of his marriage and the relationship. He probably has been dating Gwen for much longer than a few months and just forgot to tell Miranda and Gavin.
