I am an amateur writer. While certainly no expert I think they did a horrible job writing Tony off the last episode he was there. I agree with the person who said they killed off Ziva to pay the actress back for leaving the show because they did not have to ride it that way. They could have had her seriously injured touch and go and survive the explosion and then tell Tony about the daughter. It was a slap in the face to the fans who were invested in the show over the years to kill off a main character who was so Important to the fans. I personally will not be watching NCIS again and I've watched it since the beginning. They could've made it dramatic without making it sugary sweet but in this case they simply made it sad

Saw there was to be a season 14 only to have the life sucked out hearing DiNozzi was gone. He IS THE HUB of the remarkable chemistry the show presents. Sad

The show has gone down hill since ziva left and if Toby gos as well will not be worth watching any more get your hands out your pockets and pay up what ever it takes to get to tony to stay and ziva to come back there is not much left on TV that is good to watch don't spoil this one for your very good fans that have made this show such a good success in all our opinion

never missed a single episode....please please please have him ride off into the sunset with Ziva...that was his true love and she loved him too. we're the best fans in the world. at least end this well for tony and let him be with the one he loved.....and i promise to keep watching.....would be nice to eventually let abby and mcgee at least hold hands..... ok...one last plea.....tony and ziva....happy sunset

Sooo love Tony....adds a little humor to a tedious hard job. Needs to find his love - Jeanne Benoit. They were great together but let her fathers business & Tony's job overshadow their love. Last chance meetings showed that strong feelings of love for each other still apparent. She needs to leave her husband & seek Tony out. That would leave Tony open for guest appearances if he wants.

He is seriously injured and while on death's door has near-death flashbacks allowing writers to revisit series greatest "Tony moments". Team solves crime that injured Tony while he fights for life. Tony finally pulls through and realizes life is short and chooses what is important to him. Ziva over career.

Whether the character is either (Dinozzo or ZIVA), there is going to be a permanent impact. Meaning you have 2 remaining seasons to put a closure on those characters. It was good from the beginning, interesting and curious in the present situation and finally have an awesome ending (if Mark Harmon ends it with a happy ending: HINT:). Jenny Shepard and Kate died with dignity. Secretary got blown off. Gibbs's ex wives got shot, killed, have affairs and run away but all have interesting plots. Sir, Harmon, can you at least give a happy ending with ZIva, and Dinozzo. We have been dedicated in watching your show from JAG all the way to present times. At least you can give us that in return. By the way, dont you want to be the "most watch episode in TV history around the world at that one time." It will be beat the Super Bowls, its half-time and JR (dallas) shot episodes. Please Mr. Glasberg and Mr. Harmon. Cmon, you can do it.

I think he should reunite with Ziva and also get his own team. Why can't they have Ziva come back, they decide to get married and because they can't work together, he gets his own team. Why not bring back some good decisions. Everything today is divorce and break-ups in TV and movies. Tired of it.

I would have to agree with Christopher Wise, about bringing in someone that is related to Gibbs. But with Tony I think they need to be in a case that is an emotional term oil for him. Making him question the last 13 years of why he doing this. See a side of Tony that is real serious.

NBC needs to do whatever they can to bring Cote back. I don't know how it ended with her and the network, but if they have to beg on bended knee, apologize, pay big bucks. Bring her back! The show took a serious dive after her character was gone. And Bishop was the worst replacement choice. If Cote was still there and the series was ending, the result should be the same. They belong together. In love. Period. Doesn't matter how they get there. Just get them there. And bring "DAD" back too. He would be a great grandpa. And he loved Ziva. Wanted them together as well. Most NCIS fans would agree. If NCIS is to forever remain in the boring pit that it is in, at least end this season with a long awaited ending. It might give it the shot in the arm that it needs.

You should replace him with Sean Harmon, he could come aboard as the newest Probie who happened 2 be the love child of Jenny Shepard and Gibbs's. After there under cover work over Sea's she put him up for adoption and never told Gibbs. This would also give him some family so he wouldn't be so lonely.

This show desperately needs the Coastguard lady (Boran?) FULL TIME. She is funny, witty, smart and is the ideal replacement for Tony. No youngster will relate adequately to Gibbs so ONE of the two newbies HAS to be 40+. What we don't need is any more young over-achievers. Bishop proved that.

I think the end will be something like Tony getting a call or a letter and his reaction to the news and his few comments before sign off will leave fans feeling it possibly relates to a Ziva reunion, of course, off camera and never to be seen on tv and no references ever made to his life.

I believe Tony is/was the worst part of the show!!!
1.) He always acted like he was so above others "Very Special Agent", and yet we never saw any real
personal interaction between him and "Duckie", "Abby", or any of his "Superiors".
2.) He was always ready to "dish" on anyone else but deflected any criticism of himself.
2.) He seemed to think of himself as "Gods gift to women",
But we never saw a serious relationship (Ziva made it clear she wasn't interested, there were many
instances when she could have accepted his feeble advances but didn't)
3.) His Mc-this and Mc-that got real old real fast.
4.) He constantly references, ONE LINE from movies, but we never saw him go to/watch any, much-less
have any kind of intellectual discussion of the merits of ANY film.
No, I believe he will be the least missed character and the show will do just fine WITHOUT him or anyone like him!

Will you people let Ziva go! If Cote was wanting to be involved or stay on she would have extended her contract. She wants her own life, not yours. Yes the chemistry is different, but so is the world. This was more of a real life circumstance if you give it any thought. Tony is getting older, considering all of his options. He turned down the promotion to Spain and was told by Jenny it may not come again. But that makes more sense than re-uniting with a women who told him good-bye and one where the chemistry was gone when they met again. If you look at the trend, Gibbs told Tony he depended on him when Tony was having an affair with Barrett. That, and Gibbs attitude as a whole gives us a dynamic to say goodbye with love and appreciation. This is easy to evolve to with the writers. McGee is becoming the stronger one and seems to have Gibbs ear on strategy. At any rate, the show has a life of its own like MTM, Friends, Cheers, MASH and all the longtime shows that left when they wanted and still were successful. In the meantime, let's just keep enjoying good writing, acting, and a magic of a troupe of people we enjoy. Bye DiNozzo, its was fun, but it is time to move on.

I have watched this show since it began. Tony is a marvelous addition to the show because of his sense of humor and his "dad" is a good addition when he shows up also. He and Ziva are so good together and it seems everyone thinks this. I cannot understand why he is leaving unless he has a lot of plans to stay on in another area of NCIS. Please stay "very special" Tony. Surely we need a little humor !!

I agree that the ending between Tony and Ziva changed the show. As much as I love Gibbs, the chemistry between Tony and Ziva was irreplaceable. It hasn't been the same since she left. It would mean so much to the fans if his departure ended with happily ever after between the two. The idea of them getting a spin off show would be amazing, so many people miss them together. But, if Tony has to leave, I feel the idea of them having a child together and starting a life would be a wonderful closure for so many that have hoped for them to end up together. One episode foreshadowed this concept of her realizing Tony was who she was meant to end up with when they were dancing together and she flashed back to dancing with her father as a young girl. Eli David told her that one day she would meet a man who was worthy of standing in his place. The screen then shoots to her dancing with Tony and her expression seems to have a moment of realization with her true feelings toward him. To work that scene as a flashback into the final storyline and Tony and Ziva reuinte would be a great way to tie it all together.

I would love to see him start his own NCIS in another location and bring Ziva on board. When Ziva left the show started to crumble - now I believe this is the continuation of the beginning of the end. Sorry but the bean counters should have done the right thing, it never was and will never be the same with main characters leaving.

It was a disappointment the way he and Ziva parted. This show won't be the same without him, and don't know if it will be as popular anymore as it hasn't been since Ziva left. You should end it with Ziva finding him and them having the 2 yr old child. A spin off with both of them would be an instant hit!!
