I really like the story line but it's true Katherine isn't the best actress, she's very pretty though and I guess you get used to her acting after a while. Domenic is also kind of bad at acting but he's really cute too. (I mention their looks because as stereotypical as it sounds, people may watch the show just because they like them as models, sexual appeal etc.) I think they need to act more as they would in real life and not so much as just a memorized line. I would definitely watch a second season though, because I get hooked to the story lines.
Terrible show the two leads and simon are also horrible wish they had used the city of bones cast. Alec and isabelle are okay. How can u replace Lily and Jamie with Katherine and Dominic

Huge fan of the books and how Cassandra Clare's mind works......Big fan of the movie and its casting....BUT....I blame the director for allowing such stagnant,unnatural performances from the actors..It's as if the actors have to wait for the others to finish a line before they can even make facial changes...One person speaks,camera pans to that person, and everyone else stands still....Soap operas have better timing than this show....I just cannot believe it is acceptable to spend so much money to make something so unfortunate...Maybe Cassandra Clare has no production rights and cannot just say to the other producers "this is sucking SO hard." I think the writing is fine, the changes from book to script okay, but the direction of the actors is mind numbing.

I really love the book and actually like the movie, I really wish they would have just made a second movie. The actors really suck, And the actress who plays clarey her hair is way to orange and fake. I also really hate how they are so far off from the original story line it's fusterating.

Absolutely awful. Bad dialogue, bad acting, bad plot. I have read the books, and this show deviates so far from them i can't believe they can still use the brand name. The movie was ok, not fantastic, but ok, whereas this just makes me want to cry. Doesn't represent the books at all - has ruined the series - just doesn't seem like any of the characters in the books, it feels like a whole new story. I thought the film strayed from the books, but this show can't even see them in its rear view mirror. If you read the books and liked them don't watch this show!

I loved these books and quite frankly thought the movie was good - this TV show on the other hand was awful. The actors chosen to play Clarey and Jace are really, really bad - Jace walks like he just got off a horse and pouts like someone just pushed him off - Clarey just needs to be replaced. I hate that it's rushing through the story, trying to cram 2 books into one season & when, when, when - will writers allow the viewer to reach the intended conclusion on their own and stop spoon feeding us shit like we're idiots - just makes for bad tv

Loved the first episode...I will say if you have not read the books, you might have trouble knowing what is going on...loved the actors, sets, costumes...only bad thing...the commercials really cut into the story...wish they could do 2 long ones, rather than all the short ones.
