If you don't want a cover band , don't make a band. You will always have people loving your music they wanna replicate it... They wont be earning much, but enjoying the music. Maybe Lars and the band are scared. Terrible for their popularity and will have repercussions no doubt. shame on you guys !

This is ridiculous. It's jagged edges coming off of the letters of the band name. Are Metallica worried that people are accidentally going to Sandman shows because they thought it was the real Metallica logo? I highly doubt it. Metallica is probably just self conscious about the caliber of their performances at this point, as they should be.
