Better question is why would you want to have two Prime lenses of the same focal length for the same camera? Prime lenses tend to have one maximum apature for the lower price and a larger apature for those with loads of money so it would be difficult for joe public to have both wouldn't it?

Your options didn't allow for having different prime lenses.
In my case, I only have one, and it is the Minolta 50mm f1.7 "standard" lens. It is always with me in my camera bag.
I am always on the lookout for other prime lenses. Mind you, I find that today's zooms are really very good.
