How should the Jericho Cotchery replay have been ruled?

If you watch the replay the angle from the receivers backside shows the receiver having control before any part of his body can be considered down and the angle changed to the front side the ball never moves until the ball tip hits touches the ground.

It doesn't matter that it touched. Had the ball not moved after the tip of the football touched the ground he would have been ruled down before it touched the ground. The ground jarring a ball loose which was under control can not cause an incomplete pass IF THE RECEIVER REGAINS CONTROL before it touches the ground again it is a catch per current NFL rules. Why is everybody trying to determine it is a catch based on whether it touched the ground or not? Everybody should be looking at whether or not the receiver had control before it touched.
