This is a very difficult question. Nobody likes the idea of government being able to look into our private lives but I wonder how you would feel if your child, spouse, or parent's life could have been saved if this information were made available. Why not a compromise where laws would lay out very specific and definable circumstances where this information would be handed over to them.
