We don't argue about who is the best player, Curry is, but the situation is different, they were losing and yes, with a bit of luck, he scored that amazing triple.
Those saying that Curry controlled the situation and his shot was pure skill (I don't doubt it) and Llull's was just luck are underestimating him. It's not the first time that he did a buzzer-beater to win a game, he's a specialist on them, other players always pass the ball to Llull in the last minutes of the game if they are losing because he'll shot a three and usually scores them.
And although I really enjoy the NBA and I admire players like Curry, Butler and of course Kobe, I really hate when people underestimates European basketball. Just search for the results of international tournaments and see which countries are always in the top 8.
By the way: Valencia, the team that lost thanks to Llull's shot, had a better winning streak than the Warriors in the beginning of the season. Oh! And Real Madrid are the current winners of the league, king's cup, euroleague and intercontinental cup. =)

Curry's shot was better because he took it knowing he can make it, whereas the other guy did it in desperation and hope it will go in (It's called LUCK). Also note that Curry's been doing this kind of shot routinely.

There it goes. Just what I thought . It is now a Spanish person being hit on by a Black Crowd. The Black Crowd is saying the Spanish Sergio basket was pure luck. Yea O'K right call it what you want, you have freedom of speech and press we the Spanish people community will give you that. Sergio still has the distance record it is all . I'm still impress of what Curry can do on a consistent bases. I do know he will on, in the Hall of Fame without a reserve doubt.

Mike, also Real Madrid was loosing by 15...game was totally lost.
Then, Llull scored some shoots in a row....you just see the final 5 seconds.
He uses to do some nice buzzer beater

and so on ;)
anyway, of course is a "lucky shoot"
I understand you dont know Sergio. That doesnt mean he is a bad player. He declined a $17M offer from Rockeets last summer just to keep playing in Madrid.

Curry's is a thousand times better. The context is everything. Curry is in a far superior league playing against a team after a long stretch on the road. Tired and bruised, the warriors were supposed to lose this game. Then, Curry hits 2 clutch threes to stay in the game -- giving Iguodala the chance to hit both free throws with 0.7 seconds left in regulation while down by 2 (a 60% shooter who is usually fouled purposely). Finally, in OT, after coming back again due to 3 or 4 Curry three pointers (because Barnes and Varejao could not finish their lay ups), and hits the dagger from 35+ feet. He is making history right now. As a dubs fan since I was born and who has seen so many struggling eras, it has been worth the wait.
Anybody can get lucky with a long shot. But not in the same way and with the same consistency as the greatest player on the planet right now. People hate on Curry for the very reason he is to be appreciated. He appears normal compared to the other giants. But his finesse skills are insane. There is not a better ball handler or shooter in the game right now.

Yeah... i agree this was a waste of an article. Spanish league is nothing compare to the nba. That spanish game looked like a lucky shot from an american high school game. Curry made that moment on the world stage. He's a very skilled and entertaining player. It's was probably one of the most exciting games I've ever seen in a while. I thought the thunder had it in the bag. They should've won that game with the warriors missing all those easy layups and free throws, but WOW... what a crazy turn of events. You can see the thunder players on the bench knew it was probably gonna go in when curry shot it.

Sergio's is more impressive. The game was tied when Curry launched, which is not as much pressure than if you are behind...

Currys shot is more impressive because all of the focus and pressure is on him but he still delivered on such a long 3 pointer.

This is such a stupid comparison. Curry's shot was all skill, as he has hit TEN out of 21 shots from beyond thirty feet. This Spanish shot is one of pure luck and is therefore not impressive. Anyone can get lucky and drill those shots but NO ONE could hit a shot like Curry did with purposeful intent. A waste of an article

The Spanish game's buzzer-beater might be more exciting, but the moments leading up to Curry's is what makes it better.
