Why does these newer trucks hafta get more expensive I could really use a nice diesel truck but I can't justify spending $60,000

I would like to see an HD version of the 6.2L engine with dual fuel injection, 8 or 10 speed transmission and at least 470ftlb torque.
I do not like the new diesels because the exhaust cleanup is too expensive and complicated.

I would have bought another EXT Cab LB 2500HD if I could have more options in the drive train to benefit mileage and towing. I prefer the 1500 6.2 but its not available with 4 door and a long bed. My next truck has to have more than WT comfort and needs to tow 13000 lb, and honestly 6.0 is strong but too thirsty. Epilog: 6.0 needs more tech and better gearing for better MPG. GM has no place for a 1500 Crew/DoubleCab long box, gas HD only offers 4:10 axle and a Duramax just would not timely pay for itself in my business. There is no need to upgrade when there is no improvement.

Why are the hoodlines getting higher and higher? I want a lower hood so I can see what I am running over and to make servicing/work easier! My '03 is at sternum level, while '16 is up to my eyeballs. I am 5'-7".
