It was difficult for me to choose just one out of this list. I landed on a patient, although I really wanted both a patient, a researcher, and an innovator. I want to be inspired by what is possible when we really listen, stay centered on the main goal of improved health for all, and look at challenges from all angles. I guess I can understand the desire to have a celebrity on stage...to some degree...but I think being inspired and encouraged that we can truly transform healthcare is what we need most.

I will admit it's important to hear from the leaders of ONC, HHS, CMS and similar directional folks to better understand the "market forces". But for my money you can't do better than to have people that help us remember why we're connected to healthcare. Give me something to inspire me, to make me want to do better, not thoughts on how to get by because of what's wrong, too slow, too hard, too narrow, too complex. I think we need to feel some urgency.
Some examples,
Dr. Trissa Torres, IHI Senior Vice President
David Whyte, Poet
Ron Sims, Chair of the Washington Health Benefit Exchange Board
Sorrel King of the Josie King Foundation
