Karen, at least you were allowed to vote. Since I had read none of the books in three of the four polls, I was not allowed to vote in those making any results invalid.
As an avid reader, I was surprised that I had read only one of each of the choices from all four polls, going back 20 Years! Some of those titles have been my to-be-read lists, but I never felt any urgency to actually acquire them, given all the other fascinating reading I have at hand. Obviously 'best sellers' mean NOTHING to me and never will. I guess that is why I jumped in with so many great independent authors and ebooks pre-Kindle, and have stuck with them for so many years. Perhaps if the genre best sellers were in the polls, such as Science Fiction, Romantic Comedy and Historical fiction, the outcome might have been quite different.
