This was my toughest pick also! But I couldn't forget Nurse Ratched standing over Billy Bibbit, belittling & emasculating him, threatening to tell his mother what he had done; terrorizing such a sensitive soul. That is true evil! She got my vote!

That was just almost exactly my thought, too!
During Lent I took part in Lent Madness online which involved voting on a bracket of 32 holy people for the Golden Halo. Sometimes deciding between two was just as hard as this, but on a scale of goodness instead of [literary] villainy.
Here's a quote from one of the priests behind the tournament: In the process of this whimsical Lenten devotion we’ve all made some new online friends, encountered a community of believers who take their faith but not themselves too seriously, learned a few things, were inspired by saintly witnesses, and had a lot fun along the way.
Maundy Thursday we learned that Dietrich Bonhoeffer was awarded the 2016 Golden Halo. http://www.lentmadness.org/
Good job on this event, Bas Bleu editors!

This was my toughest pick, I thought long and hard, weighing all possibilities; I couldn't get Nurse R. out of my mind. Throwing all of my analysis to the wind, I clicked on the old nurse and was surprised that thus far she is barely edging out Sauron!
