I wish beyond wishing I could choose single 900W because of the convenience and the fact that we do in fact need it... but it'd have to be real nice and portable and I don't think it will be.
Unfortunately I had to choose 450W x2 for that reason D=.
But hey, we'll see how things end up. If a good 900W shows up in a reasonable sizing and weight then =D.

I would love to have one 900W AC adapter and never have to deal with two smaller ones ever again. That's how I voted. Nice poll @Prema.
I agree!
Personally I would prefer to have 2x450W, so I can travel lighter with only one unit and have a second one @home for when I need more power.

We need at least 2 modes of power. One for home, the one I would use most, and one for mobile.
The home psu needs to be a single module solution. Large enough to power the OC'd computer + 30%-50% for growth and long time cool reliable operations.
The mobile solution needs to power the laptop enough to run stock, the 450w psu sounds reasonable balance for power and portability - ability to pack in the backpack.
It might be nice to allow ganging of both the home and mobile psu's, but I don't want to depend on a gang of psu's + cables for normal operation.

@tmash
With a fully unlocked test system we are already pulling 820W+ with a current gen configuration...
havent power consumption decreased with the rise of gpu/cpu? 900watts sounds alot for me for high efficiency psus
voted 900w even if larger, or dual 450w.
Bigger the better :)

Thanks for asking :)
