Was Chase Utley's slide dirty?

The Utley rule is because of Utley and the Posey rule is because of Cousins. The Posey rule should be the Cousins rule. Both Utley and Cousins should be in the same place...out of baseball.

If he would have slid towards the other side of the plate good chance he would have been safe, instead he goes after the catcher.

I can see what he was trying to do initially was take a chance on the ball hitting him. I've many times watched the eyes of the guy taking the throw and move my body in line to try and deflect the ball. Once the catcher had the ball he was a dead duck. His slide was clean. No cleats up or sweep of his feet to try and trip up the catcher. I have had guys do the same thing to me when I was a catcher and NEVER gave it a second thought. If this is a dirty slide then perhaps we should have all the guys put on skirts.

Chase did not lead with his cleats up. A catcher has all that gear on and he hit him with his shin. Fair play all around. No intention of hurting someone, just a good baseball play all around!!

The catcher gave Utly a path to home plate like he's supposed to and Utly tried to take him out
